Corner Housewares Modern Multi-Purpose Dining Room Wheeled Transforming Adjustable Expanding X Lift Coffee and Dining Table, Walnut Wood Finish

I purchased this table in July 2016 (Now late Oct 2016) and wanted to wait a couple months to see how it held up before writing a review. For my purposes, this table is usually a coffee table. For dinner, we raise it up every night to table height. When we have guests over (2-3 times per month), we raise it and fold open the top. Daily use does not appear to have worn out the springs at all (pretty heavy duty springs). The table easily raises and lowers. This table is perfect for our small apartment with no dedicated dining area. I have extremely plush carpet, and the wheels roll, but not super easily. I can't expect easy rolling on super plush carpet, though. Another perk I hadn't thought of when purchasing: when moving, this table will fold down to be basically flat, which saved on space.

Two (very) minor complaints I have with it:
1) As another reviewer mentioned, the handle for adjusting the table height is plastic and "feels" flimsy. It hasn't broken or shown sign of wear but I wish it was made of a sturdier material.
2) There's no real handle or grip to expand the table. It's not hard to open but takes a second to get your hands in a good position to open it.

As expected and is perfect for our space. Easy to put together and use. On the photo we have the height adjusted to the height of us eating at the table as we just had dinner. Had to ship this table to the states as didn't ship to Canada, but was worth the drive.

Excellent table at a good price! Only problem is lack of instructions. Thanks VERY much to 5spot for the following: "Place the spring in the recess of the handle, then carefully place it on the "gear". Attach it with the screw provided. To adjust the height of the table, push the handle in so it engages the gear and loosen it (counterclockwise). Press or lift the table to the desired height. Now lock it in place using the handle again in the same manner as before, but clockwise (to tighten)." BUT WATCH OUT! When I finally got it to work it banged me in the knees. (Note: I had previously purchased the Merax Adjustable Coffee Table--could not get it to adjust even after then sent me an entirely new base. That one uses gas struts as the adjustment mechanism--replacing the gas struts would have cost more than the table. The Corner Housewares version uses springs and is a much better product.)

OK - just got this table. I love it - it's a must for a small apartment, and I love the dark wood colour. It came mostly assembled - you just have to insert the spring and lever for loosening the the legs with an alan key (included). The instructions were extremely vague on how to do this. What's worse, I had it lying upside down on the ground, inserted the lever to loosen the legs (which come folded in against the table), and they immediately sprung upwards, hitting me square in the forehead. I'm just glad I didn't get hit in the teeth. Now that it's put together (and the egg is disappearing from my forehead) I'm really enjoying it!

I am in love with this table! For the price I was expecting something cheap looking, but it is not. It looks and feel sturdy, high quality. It is very heavy, be warned. If you are still in doubt if should buy this table, do not think anymore, just buy it.
Transitioning from coffee table to dining table is a very simple process and can be done by one person, without any extra help. The same about opening the leaves. The table stays up at any height you want. Loosen the lever, move the table to the desired position, then tighten up the lever again.
There is a little latch that locks the top in place, either closed or opened. Look on the smaller side, under the top. It has a green button that needs to be pressed to open or close. When I was removing this table from the packaging, that latch was open, so the top was sliding around. Not practical at that moment.
When removing table from the box, be VERY careful. Those legs are a weapon. The instructions say to put the table upright and move the lever to spring it up. But they fail to mention it is all tied up, and as I did all by myself (serious regret here. Far too heavy.), couldn't see what was at the bottom. I was then following the instructions, but the table was not moving. So I decided to move it sideways, fortunately being careful to be away from the legs. It then broke the ties with such force and violence, I had to pause for a few minutes and have a glass of water. This is the only problem with the product. So, be warned, have help to remove packaging, then cut leg ties while feet are on the floor. Only then start the process of winding it up, then fix the lever with tools provided.
I photographed all process and every detail of the table, but Amazon did not let me upload them.
All in all, I could not be happier, it is perfect for my space. It took me 7 years to find the perfect table for that space. Just buy it and see for yourself.

FIRST, THIS IS HOW WE INSTALLED THE HANDLE THAT ADJUSTS THE HEIGHT OF THE TABLE. "Instructions" are just drawings and rather small, not very explicit, low resolution photos. Included with the table are a handle, a spring, a nut, and an Alan key, in a little plastic bag:
1. WE MADE SURE WE WERE SAFE, by placing the table on the floor, on its side, with the long side of the table where the handle will be installed facing up, AND SITTING OR POSITIONING OURSELVES AND EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ROOM ON THE SIDE OF THE TOP OF THE TABLE, OPPOSITE AND AWAY FROM THE LEGS.
2. Took the handle and placed the nut inside the head of the handle.
3. Took the spring and place it inside the head of the handle, over the nut.
4. Carefully placed the handle with the nut and the spring on the portion of the table where the handle needs to be installed.
5. Pushed the handle down and used the Alan key to tighten the nut.
6. Once secured, the handle moved freely from side to side.
7. To make the table taller, pushed down on the handle while at the same time rotating it to the right.
8. The legs suddenly extended to make the table taller (REMEMBER YOU OR SOMEONE ELSE IN THE ROOM NOT TO STAND OR SIT ON THE SAME SIDE AS THE LEGS).
9. To lock the legs, pushed down again on the handle, and rotated it to the left.
10. Two of us, carefully placed the table on its legs.
11. Then we could safely experiment with the handle, lowering or extending the legs of the table.
12. To make the table's surface bigger, just needed to rotate the top of the table by 90°, and then unfolded the top.

NOW THE REVIEW OF THE TABLE, SO FAR, WITH ONLY ONE DAY OF USE:
The table really goes well with our contemporary living room. It is very sleek looking (got the walnut color), with the brushed nickel color legs. The wheels at the bottom of the legs are sharp looking, and have a locking mechanism. The table is easy to move around on our tile flooring, but be careful if you do it with liquids or breakables on the table, since the wheels do not swivel. The wheels are quiet, and do not leave marking on our flooring. When extended, the table will comfortably sit 4 people, maybe 6.
I only wish designers would make the corners of tables rounded, specially in consideration to families with little children. So far it was very easy to clean the top. It looks like the table will last a long while, so hopefully I'm right!

For a price under $300, it's worth it. Converting tables are hard to find. The quality of the table feels pretty sturdy. It's a heavy table, but rolls ok on my high carpet when I move it around, and rolls smoothly when raising the height. The expanding table top is a bit thinner than I would prefer, time will tell how it lasts against elbow pressure.

If I could change 2 things on this table, I would make the wood table top just a bit more thicker (but it would increase weight), and switch the plastic height adjusting lever to a button release and metal lever that hides away (I feel I'm going to break it if clothing or a bag gets snagged on it),

But for the price, tremendous value

I have am about to purchase a second and third unit. The first serves as breakfast nook table, card table and jigsaw puzzle platform. The second will be coffee table or living room serving expansion. The third is going into our craft room to replace a fixed-height table.

Setup allegedly should be two people, but with some room and padding on the hardwood floor, doing it with one was manageable. The unit can be height converted easily. Changing from coffee table (2x4) config to 4x4 table takes a little bit of hand strength and dexterity.

It looks good, rolls easily and costs one-third the amount of other options we looked at. The unit is well designed and engineered, but pinch points exist and this should be considered for family with young children. The company's web site seemed targeted at urban loft millennials or techno industrial chic, but we are a family of older hippy baby-boomers and it works well for us.

I just received this table yesterday and set it up this morning. I am amazed at the quality and style. I had no problems setting it up. It is very heavy and came with instructions to have two people set it up. Well, I just cut the end off of the carton and rolled it out after removing styrofoam from the end. I tilted it slightly to cut off some plastic tying parts up underneath. No assembly was required.

The instructions tell you to have the table top facing up when you unlock the legs to avoid them springing up and injuring anyone in the vicinity (maybe that is new). By keeping it "top up" rather than "legs up", the weight of the top controls the "spring". I used the ratchet handle to unlock the lifting mechanism and that was it! The table is stylish and sturdy and I cannot imagine that I won't continue to be pleased with it. It is perfect for my small space.

We received this table in the brown walnut wood color. Functions as intended. The locking mechanism has been loose and did not lock the table in desired height but redid it and it seems to be working much better. There were a few upsetting qualities: the wood has chip marks (little specs) in the middle when opened the table, and the underneath is Rusty and/or dirty. Pretty sure company should not have sent us a used or imperfect product. QC???
Pictures attached.
