Broan PM250 Power Module Range Hood, Silver

This was a great buy. Amazon had the best price. I also purchased the Broan LB30 30-Inch Hood Liner –highly recommended to make the unit look “finished”, easier to clean and protect the surrounding wood surface. The installation instructions were a little confusing, but once we figured it out, it was a pretty painless process. I haven’t had it very long, but so far it’s working great. The fan noise is nothing compared to the micro/hood combo I had up before. I do wish the lights were brighter, but I’m using conventional bulbs and should probably switch to LEDs. It can be awkward flipping the fan/light switches; you have to contort under the hood/avoid the stove flames (lol), but it’s worth the sacrifice for the *beauty of a custom range-hood*.

I purchased this unit (390) with a matching hood 2 years ago for an install in our new home. The installation was done professionally, so i cannot speak about it's ease or difficulty. I can say that the unit has performed extremely well. I installed LED bulbs so they should last for many years. lighting coverage is very good. The fan is powerful and easily draws cooking odors out of the kitchen. I've seen complaints about the noise when the fan is on high. You can certainly hear it blowing, but it's on high. I kind of expected it to make some noise at that setting. it's certainly not bothersome. I would gladly buy this unit again.

We build kitchens and install quite a few of these. Never had any customer complaints. Except for one that complained about bulbs not included. This unit does an excellent job when you consider the price. In the 200 dollar price group this has excellent perfomance. I've installed 1000 dollar units that were horribly noisy and you held your hand up and said something like "I guess you can feel more air flow". The lighting is Ok but not exceptional. They are easy to install and come with a plug for a recepacle. If you are doing a cut out specs are 10 1/4 X 19 1/2 We find you need 10 3/8 X 19 5/8 The liners also work well LB36.

Easy to install for average diy'er w some carpentry skills. Fan on high is loud, but takes care of fumes quickly so you don't need it on for long. Not yet sure it does much on low...but that is very quiet. Great light...one setting for 2 bulbs. Two are always on. Bulbs are pricey compared to previous ones...and you won't find them at Walmart. Overall we are pleased. The cost of this set up beats the box stores by a lot. I'd buy it again...its great to customize how you want your hood to look...kind of priceless when you get to control its appearance.

This unit went up very easily. The liner protects the surrounding wood from not only splatters, but the possibility of grease fires. I wouldn't recommend an installation without it for the latter reason. Yes, it's noisy, but no more so than any range hood fan, which usually conks out within the first year of use. The difference is this one has a much much stronger fan and sucks the cooking odors out of the house very quickly. We've found the low setting is plenty. Someone mentioned the lights were placed at the back of the unit so only the back of the stove was lit. If that's the case, you've installed it backwards. It's easy to do and we almost did the same thing until realized it couldn't possibly be right. Don't use conventional 40 watt candelabra bulbs. Unless you only want a nightlight, they're useless. Spring for the LED candelabra ones. They provide incredible lighting with no added heat around the bulb area. I would definitely recommend this unit.

I researched in-cabinet vent hoods until my eyes were bleeding. I had to install this in a galley kitchen that had a slim cabinet, so the footprint was critical. I was hesitant to buy this because it was far and away the cheapest of the options I found.

I could not be happier with the vent. It installed cleanly, looks custom, and moves an impressive amount of air.

Worked out fine. Had a copper case made around it and it's a great range hood. One of a kind

Fit perfect into our 17 yr old built-in exhaust hood.
VERY powerful, yet not all that noisy. The only thing I don't like is the control buttons are not easy to find unless I stick my head under the vent hood to find them. I do wish the controls were more user friendly.
The price is VERY reasonable! We priced it at every store and supplier in our area. IF they could even get it, it would have tajen at least 1-2 weeks and the prices were about double. If stores want to compete with Amazon, they need to have things accessible and better priced. I love to support local businesses and I'm willing to pay a little more, BUT when I can't get something I really need for WEEKS, and I have to drive 45 min to an hour each way to get to those stores, and STILL have to pay double, I draw the line.

We were looking for something that wasn't expensive but still was a nice quality. My husband mad a wooden hood for the vent and it looks awesome. The installation of the vent was easy and it works realy good.
