I have been searching the internet for these hoops. I have used them for over 40 years. Then they became scarce and extremely hard to find them. I found these on Amazon and this business has my heart for the remainder of my life. I love these because they hold onto the fabric and easily movable. Most wooden ones have screws that need to be tightened and with my arthtiris it is difficult to do this. They have earned my highest rating of A++++ Thanks for the quality not easily found in many areas!!
I wanted a set of embroidery hoops that were a bit nicer and that I could hang finished pieces in. The faux wood is a textured rubber that has a weird smell that hasn't gone away in the two days they've been airing out. That being said, I feel like it's easier to use than a traditional hoop because of the small stretch in the rubber.
This gets -1 star for two reasons - smell, and the decorative screw that you can hang the pieces with can come out easily. A dab of superglue fixes this, however.
These are fun but they are def plastic. A little hard to position your work in if you don’t embroidery it in these hoops. They look ok- better than wood hoops. I’ve ordered 2 sets now and had one hoop with a wonky hanger which was unfortunate because it was on the oval one so it’s more noticeable. But the price is good
Good value. I didn’t use to actually stitch the piece. I used a traditional hoop to stitch and then when it was finished, put it in this hoop. It’s very pretty and the piece fit well in the hoop. I cannot attest to durability during stitching but for a finished piece it was perfect!
These are awesome thebwooden part is more like rubber then plastic which is actually more ideal

These are great for cross stitch that you don't want to spend a fortune on to have professionally framed. After you've put on a backing, the cross stitch is ready to go.
These look wonderful from afar, and are a good alternative to finishing up a hoop without using the plain old bamboo. Very flexible, so the material stretch can be a tiny bit unpredictable. Best cost effective way to quickly finish out a hoop.
The flexible ring has my vote and so pretty!
