I’m always losing knitting needles, so I have to say I jumped right on this set for the cheap price. But now that I have them, I’m glad that they did. The needles themselves are nicely made, and I like the tubing used to connect them for the circular bit. Each size has a different color. The sizes are written in mm, not US sizes, but you can easily google a conversion chart. The thing that really blew me away is that the needles came with a goodie bag full of place markers, different size finishing needles, compact scissors, a measuring tape, and a 2 mm crochet hook for picking up dropped stitches. Considering everything that comes with this set, for the price, it’s an amazing steal.

I purchased these because I was interested in trying the magic loop method on a couple projects of different sizes but didn't want to commit to a more expensive version in case I completely hated it. For that purpose these were great. I knit in the round often and have always used dpns. However, for some reason, I was getting increasingly annoyed with having so many stitches and yarn colors and needles moving around, periodically dropping needles or, even worse, dropping a needle so that it fell out of stitches.
So far I've knitted one argyle sock on these using fingering weight yarn.
The good:
sizes are printed on the needles.
I just finished a sock and the needles held up, although based on the other reviewer who had the cable fall off I was careful to "push" the needles through the stitches rather than pull with the cable.
disclaimer: I've not used bamboo before (I really like metal), but these were well-finished, no splinters or rough spots, and I did like the very pointy tip.
The bad:
the join on some of the needles is not smooth, moving stitches was sometimes annoying. Stitches would snag and fuzz up the yarn. I was using fairly inexpensive yarn so I didn't mind and for my sock the snags were unnoticeable.
I had to keep moving where I had the loop sticking out because I was getting ladders, but that may just be technique (see above, first time using magic loop!)
Miscellaneous: I've been working recently on relaxing my knitting, I think that if I went back to my old, very tight, ways I would have snapped these, at least the smaller size I've worked with so far.
TLDR: great as an inexpensive way to get into circular knitting (and included kit of knitting knick knacks is a bonus). If you already love the technique and are knitting a lot the rough joins might do you in.
I love everything about these needles, especially the price! I particularly love that the tubing isn't tiny in comparison to the needles; the tubing is just a hair smaller than the needles at every size, which makes it easier to not end up with super-tight stitches accidentally! They've held up well, and any roughness was alleviated with some very, very fine grit sandpaper or steel wool.
These knitting needles are such a great bargain. I've been knitting for years and was told that bamboo needles were great to knit with. I went to the knit shop and looked at them and they were extremely expensive. The large sizes up to 12.99 and 14.99 so I decided to make do with my old plastic and metal knitting needles. Then I saw these advertised on Amazon and decided for the price to try them. They are just great. The first 18 pairs were for me and this 18 pairs was for a friend. I keep looking to see if you have this same bargain in the larger sizes.

This is the PERFECT set to purchase if you are new to knitting and looking to build your collection. Comparatively, you can get this same set of 18 needles PLUS an accessory bag for the same price you would pay for a single pair of needles at a craft store. It's an absolute deal if you're looking to get a bunch of different sizes and are building a collection.
The sizes are printed on the needles (mm) and the cords come in different colors to easily differentiate them. I've done about 3 projects with the larger needles so far and have found them easy to use. Additionally, I've come to realize how much EASIER it is to knit using these bamboo needles compared to my old metal ones. It allows the yarn to slide off a lot easier.
The only other aspects worth mentioning is all of the cords are the same length (good for making scarves). So if you're looking to make a smaller headband or a larger blanket, you'll have to finagle the length around the cord a bit. Additionally, the smaller needle sizes seem a bit fragile (although I admittedly have not used them yet in a project).
Highly recommend this product, especially for beginning knitters!
I have been using several of these for a bit, and am finding them unkinking and not failing at the joints. Sure, all such will finally fail, but a bit of superglue and a razor knife quickly take care of that. Overall, very, very satisfied with these needles.
I bought large beads and blocks for grand baby . She wants hold item [ pipe cleaner ] to put bead on but it poked her hand . I could not find any wooden threader with out a EXPENSIVE toy to thread . I thunk and I thunk and nothing came to mind . used lace but tips to small and limp for her hands to work with . Some reason I ran across these and husband cut of sharp points and these work like a charm . Different sizes for hole sizes in beads . So many sent some home with her and she uses them frequently at home in play also .
These needles are great. Nice assortment of sizes and all marked with sizes legibly. I was knitting a lace baby afghan for my great-granddaughter and was having a real problem. I knit close to the end of the needle and with the small size needle and yarn, I was continuously dropping a stitch bc of easy slide off from the end of the needle. It was recommended I try bamboo needles. I ordered this set of lovely needles, and so very happy I did. Problem solved. I believe I will use these needles continuously because of my knitting habits. I also have to say that I love love love the rubber type tubing between needles. so much easier to navigate, rather than the stiffer higher priced circular needles
The bamboo tips are nicely smoothed so they don't catch on my yarn, and the cables are perfectly flexible, not rigid at all. I also love how colorful the cables are. When I opened the package there was a strong plastic odor but after leaving them out on my deck overnight the smell was almost gone. What a happy purchase!!
