The unit works great, but the manual is poorly written. Steps to set the temperature, with and without use of the probe, are less than clear. Once I contacted customer support (very helpful) and got it set up properly, it works great. Quiet, lots of cooling capacity, and so far operating properly.
This is our second WhisperKool unit. Our first one lasted 8 years and did a great job keeping our wine cellar at the perfect temp. I was happy to get another one.
After five months this is working well. It was a replacement for model that quiet working. It was easy to install and keeping our wine at the correct tempature.

The SC has a 30°F temperature differential. In order to keep your cellar at 55°F, the area the unit exhausts into should not exceed 85°F. This makes interior installation ideal for SC series units.
