Bought the original with my first set. Samsung’s have an arm that holds the drum in place that disintegrates over time. My last set lasted 10 years. The professional that purchased my set told me that the new stacking kit was different than the old one. I don’t think that was true as this one seems to be the same. The non-OEM version has more holes in the back metal fastener, for different sets I suppose. But the plastic pieces snap into the bottom of the dryer and keeps it balanced on the washer. Then you attach screws to the back of the dryer. One set of screw holes doesn’t exist, and didn’t on the OEM version either. When Lowe’s installed ten years ago, they drilled them. I didn’t bother, as they really aren’t necessary and I move a lot. In the end it works equally well, and saved me a few bucks:-)
This product was easy to install and pretty quick. This model is the universal model for newer and older model Samsung..... which is what I was looking for since my Samsung is about 4 years old.
I didn’t personally install this. The folks who installed the washer came back and stacked it with this kit. They didn’t ball or question it, and the two machines are now stacked perfectly, so I’d recommend it.
