I switched from a full size freezer to this smaller one because I don't need as much freezer space anymore. This is very nice. It's packaged well and it's not too heavy. I'm a small woman and was able to move it with a small two wheeler, I would imagine that if you're a man you could pick it up. It's an energy saver, the tag says it should only cost $29 a year to run. The only design I don't like is that the temperature control is in the back. Once you set it where you want it you probably won't be changing it but when it comes time to defrost you need to turn it off. It's not a big deal because it's easy to pull out to turn the dial but it would be a bit more convenient to have the dial on the side or inside the freezer.
Ordered it on a Thursday and received it the next Wednesday. It was shipped from California via UPS and arrived in Florida. First, the packaging was excellent. Double-boxed with straps around both boxes.Very well packaged inside both boxes. The actual shipping weight was 104 lbs. The freezer was 57 lbs. That tells you how well it was packaged. As for operation, I waited 24 hours before plugging it in. This is to let the refrigerant settle in the compressor. Finally, I plugged it in. It's been running for 6 days. No problems. The unit runs very quiet. I had to reverse the door. There was some residual foam insulation in the threads for one screw, but it was easy to clean it out. The only 2 items I would comment on was the outer box does not have any indication of how to place it (this end up arrows) and the instructions for removing the freezer from the boxes were packed inside the freezer!
Bought this unit 2 years ago. Quiet, effective, just great. This week, a power outage had us down for 40 hours. The contents of the freezer were still very solidly frozen after all that time without power.
Good freezer, extremely quiet, definitely keeps things frozen. I followEd the advice of some other reviewer's and moved the freezer into position and let it sit for a couple of days before I plugged it in. When I did plug it in I thought it wasn't working. I heard the click of the thermostat but couldn't hear the compressor running unless I put my ear right down next to the freezer! I followed the directions and set the thermostat at 6 for about four hours and then loaded some already frozen food into the freezer. I left the thermostat at 6 until the following day and then I changed the setting to somewhere between 4 and 5 (can't see it clearly). I have a digital thermometer that I put in the freezer and every time I have checked it since adjusting the thermostat it has read LL.L, which means the temperature inside the freezer is below the low range limit of the thermometer (-4°F). I didn't find the baskets that useful, they kept falling out when I would slide them out to add food so I just removed them. That's one reason for the four star review, the others are that the shelves are not adjustable and because it's made in China. Given all the hazardous and toxic substances that are being found in products coming from China I'm really not comfortable with Chinese products having any contact with food or liquid I intend to consume. In this case I'm taking SOME comfort in the fact that there will always be at least one protective layer of packaging between my food and the freezer.
Seems to hold a lot and works well. Can't store things on top of it or you get a hum, but otherwise so far we are happy!

I got this freezer to store my meal prep in and it is fantastic! The stainless steel is beautiful, the compressor is whisper quiet, and it does not seem to frost over too quickly. I've had it about 5 months now and while it has some frost, it is no where near needing defrosting. I would guess defrosting around once a year or so would be enough. It has made my life so much easier by freeing up space in my top-mount freezer and keeping all my meal prep organized in the included baskets. I shopped around quite a bit, and couldn't be happier with my purchase.
I got this product based on other good reviews. I needed more room for all my wild game meat and grass fed cow that I split with others. It seals closed every time, the baskets are deep and hold a lot. I didn't have a lot of space for a large freezer, so I ended up placing it on top of my mini fridge and its solid & stable. Would recommend this freezer!
After reading many reviews we were worried about ordering this product online since all previous reviews indicated their freezer arrived with major dings and dents!! This arrived in perfect, perfect shape. We bought it for our motorhome where it fits perfectly, we can't be more pleased. Other people suggested to leave it upright for 24 hours before plugging it in so we are waiting for that, but just in case I bought the insurance for $30 for 3 years, I can't be more pleased with this purchase. I also love that all 3 shelves inside have their own basket to keep stuff from sliding out when you open door.
This is a great size and the stainless steel is seamless with the rest of our kitchen appliances. We had a perfectly working white one, but its bulky size and dingy front never really appealed. Love this compact yet roomy freezer. Works great and makes it convenient to cook ahead and buy lots of veggies and healthy options to have on hand.
LOVE IT!!! We had been looking for these for quite some time (drooling really) As soon as Amazon had it listed at this price with free shipping we bought it (best price we could find after 4 months of watching online and not available anywhere for in-store pickup). I wanted a vertical chest freezer but our limited space did not allow for it and from my research this appeared to be the winning ticket and it was.
Its nearly silent! I mean its so quiet I cant hear it standing next to it - I have to put my ear up to it.
The storage capacity seem to be more than I was expecting.
Easy to level.
I like the looks a lot.
my only complaint would be that the drawer movement is a little stiff but not enough that even remotely upset about it.
If you only need 2 to 3x times your current freezer storage, this is the winning ticket!
PRO-TIP: after situating the freezer and getting it level, let it settle for 24 hours before pluggin it in - this helps with compressor noise and protects against damage.
We also bought the extended warranty through amazon, it was half the price that I saw through other retailers.
