Surprised these were a dollar less than my go-to Panasonics. With over 40k reviews and 4.5 stars, I'd recommend them as best choice for something that sounds good but might be lost. I have 3 pairs of Bose noise-canceling headphones, but needed a pair that would fit in my pocket, so I bought these and just before my flight i found the Panasonics, so I got to compare. SYN, these were better. Not by much, but enough to be noticeable with several swaps to test. I even mixed them up in my backpack and took them out without looking and invariably liked them (a little, but consistently) better!
I bought these after a Popular Mechanics article recommended them (17 Best Earphones Under $50). These will easily replace the Panasonic RP-HJE120-PPK's which I leave on my desk at work. These fit much more comfortably, and work with the 200 series Comply memory foam tips (I'll acknowledge the Comply tips are nearly 4x the price of the ear buds, which might seem absurd, but I had several unused tips on hand as I use them on any ear buds I actually use). With the memory foam, the sealed back of these makes them really effective noise blockers. I also have several other earbuds by MEE as well, including the M6 Pro which I'm quite fond of, but these are much simpler to use (no ear wrap). Sound is as expected from MEE, clean and mostly balanced, with adequately song but clear lows. It's hard to believe you can get awesome performance and quality for so little money, so let me qualify what I mean by "nearly perfect". For starters, they're cheap. I like cheap because I like to have several earbuds - on my desk at work, at home, in my laptop bag, etc. But cheap means there have to be trade offs, so there's nothing flashy or fancy about the materials. This is actually a good thing, since the trade offs weren't in sound quality. The cord material is kind of plasticy and stiff. It's initially kind of hard to get the packaging folds out of the cord, but in my experience, this kind of stiffness helps protect the wires. The right angle plug has ample strain relief, and fits easily through thick cases like the OtterBox Defender. It's shaped to fit universally. The shape of the earbuds themselves fit as easily into my ears as any I've worn and just stay put with no plastic contacting the folds in my ears (unlike the Panasonic buds which have a very weird rounded rectangularshaped "nozzle", which is also not directly compatible with any comply tips, but I managed to get a pair to fit with some effort). Lastly the sound is just plain good. Totally listenable for extended periods. It won't blow you away, but it won't leave you straining to hear the bass either. Edit: I've found the upper mids a little hot on some recordings (The Force by Lettuce, on Crush), which is a problem at higher volumes, but is ok at lower volumes.
These sound surprisingly good for the price. I bought these as a spare set, but if you're looking for a primary set of earbuds, I would recommend spending $10 more on the Panasonic ErgoFits, which sound noticeably better and have a better fit and finish as well. Both are great values.
My only nitpick would be that the plastic looks and feels cheap, but these were only $6 when I bought them, so I won't take any stars off for that.
I bought these to match my pink iPod (it was $6 less and I am cheap.) When I had to exchange the iPod and the only option was black (bye bye $6 difference) my wife took the ear phones away from me. She is cruel that way. I really liked these because the curve they have in the ear bud really goes in nicely. They fit snugly and block out peripheral noise quite well. I did not get to use them long enough to determine ruggedness but since I bought them for how cheap they were I like them. As far as sound quality goes... get a life. You are looking at ear buds. Sound quality is not a real factor in your decision making process right now.
Great bass. Great sound range. I compared these against the Sentry Gold and the Apie In-ear headphones. This pair actually came in second place. The Sentry Gold were the worst. There was only a high, tinny sound in the Sentry product, No bass at all. The best were the Apie. The sound quality was almost identical as the Mee RX18, but the Apie came with a cool case. (Also the steel-look of the Apie looks much better than the Mee). Get the Apie. If they are not available, these are a very close second.

I own a lot of MEElec earbuds. These are up there in quality. The offset design is comfortable and really keeps them in my ears. Previous models were straight and keep popping out - rather annoying. For the price they're a steal as these are quite good on sound. Good lows, mids and highs, punchy bass for hip-hop but smooth for classical. Great all-around earbuds. Only wish they came with a clip and case.
As in ear headphones go, this product is fantastic. The bass delivered from these really give a good thump of power through your ears without being abrasive. this allows you to listen at lower volumes which is better for your ears as well. Microphone works without a hitch either. Unfortunately, the wires strip very easily. Maybe looking at 2 weeks of usage if you're very careful. (I've purchased several of these which is how I know) I'd give it three stars, but given the price and quality of sound I give it four.
For super inexpensive headphones, I definitely enjoy this purchase. I work in an office setting and so I use them to listen to music while I'm at my desk. The sound is actually pretty decent, but I will admit they are not meant for high volume. I have used them to talk on the phone (they don't have a mic, but I hold my phone up to talk and listen through them) and they have not skipped or muffled, even when walking. If you need quick headphones for average listening, then these are perfect for you. I obviously don't know the life span on these, I just purchased them, but even if it's a few months--they're $3--not gonna be upset about it.
Now a days with all the electronics kids go through ear buds really fast so I was looking for something inexpensive but somewhat durable. Purchased these headphones for my 8 yr and I'm happy to say not only is the quality great but they're durable enough to have lasted her 8 months so far. So I've purchased a couple more as back up for the entire family.
These puppies are clear, plenty loud, and inexpensive. I'm not sure they hold up that well, but they're so cheap I've bought several pair just for when the wire finally gives and one ear goes out. That seems to happen on ALL headphones at one point or another.
I honestly don't think you can beat these at this price point. Other cheap earbuds I've had pale in comparison.
