The colorways in this yarn are very pretty. It does have a tendency to split but not too terrible to work with. Wash up nice and soft and made a lovely shawl.
First purchase of mandala for $3.74, Aug 2018:
Gnome - gorgeous youthful rainbow as bright as pictured.

Sphinx - rich blues and browns richer in person.

Serpent - gray is a Prussian/chartreux cat blue goes really well with the yellow and black.
in the few out of five the yellow/ white bits looked moldy/ speckled with dark green when it's just running color from black and dark gray. 1 out of 5 came without yellow, looked like the exterior white was cut too early, it looked stained the same way some yellow was from the black and dark gray. Tested 3 out of 5, thickness gradually inconsistent from thin2 to thick4 at least once per cake, 1 had a knot, the other two had a spot where it was about to break, a beginner's luck purchase.
They all have a vinegar smell. Individually sealed. Ordering from the brandsite itself = sealed in 3pk for every other series. Idk about Mandala.
I enjoyed making this project and the yarn might be small so it took a long time to make my project but it was beautiful.
Beautiful and soft, two skeins made this baby blanket approx 30x40 in a open stitch crochet. There were a few harsh color changes and knots. First skein knotted horribly and I spent a lot of time untangling but the second skein I had no issues with tangles. Only one of the skeins included the ivory color, I would have liked to see all colors in all skeins.
This purchase was package of three. The value was exceptional. Crocheted mermaid tail for my granddaughter. This is the first time I am using this yarn. It is a little thinner than I normally use. Loved the soft feel of the yarn. Haven't sent the mermaid tail through the wash yet, so don't know yet how it will wash, but the tail is cute and the granddaughter loves it.

The colors are great (they match the picture), I'd prefer it if it were a little softer however it's not rough by any means. I'm using it to make an afghan. I had to make some adjustments to the pattern and reworked the beginning of the afghan about five or six times. The yarn handled that pretty well.
I used this yarn to make a baby blanket with the crochet pattern of "Dancing Dragonflies" and it turned out beautifully!
Got this as an add on item for less than $4.00 so it was a great deal. There was enough yarn to crochet a whole small triangle scarf which was also great. The color changes were dramatic but flowed well. I now prefer this mandala yarn to the Caron Cakes as it is a bit thinner, softer, and also washes up better.
The yarn arrived in good condition. Each cake was in a sealed plastic bag to keep it clean, dry, & oder free during transit. I ordered 2 cakes, unfortunately, they were different dye lots (noticably different). Not the end of the world since I'm making a hat & scarf, but if I was making one continuous item (i.e. blanket) the different dye lots would have been obvious (one cake was of a much lighter dye lot).
Made an adorable poncho for my 2 year old niece for Christmas this year. The ombré effect was awesome!
