It's a daunting prospect to order a large item like this, sight unseen, from a seller you've never heard of. Well, it turned out spectacularly! Delivery was fast and the shipping company helped me inspect it before I signed for it (which was an absolute requirement of the seller). It sat in my entryway for about a month before I could get my brother-in-law over to help me install it. Also, I had aluminum wiring to the oven (not the '60s era aluminum branch wiring) which is more common than you may think... so I had to research the correct way to attach the copper leads to the aluminum (NOT wire nuts - actual Cu to Al junction blocks insulated with "splicing" tape and electrical tape - check codes if you encounter this). The wiring conduit was not very long and would have made for a difficult install, so I removed the conduit from the oven I was replacing and put it on this oven - doubling the length (Fridigaire really should add a couple more feet to their conduit).
My oven cutout appeared to be the perfect size for this oven until I realized a showstopper - the existing electrical box was mounted at the back of the cutout, but took up 1 1/2" of depth that this oven would need to slide all the way in. I had to remount the box to the top of the opening (behind the much shallower microwave part) and I was fortunate that there was enough house wiring there to allow this to happen... it was close!
This is a big, heavy unit (about 250 lbs.) and I believe that during shipping, the microwave part twisted slightly relative to the oven - the top unit was about 1/2" out of line with the bottom. Physical wrenching wouldn't work, so I had to remove the microwave and actually drill out the metal attachments to get the units to line up properly. A bit of extra work, but probably expected for a job like this.
Once lifted into the cutout, it slid back easily and was secured with just two screws! And it looks great!
And the best part... I love my new oven and microwave! The unit it replaced was a GE from 1986, so the microwave is FAR more powerful and the digitally-controlled oven has features (like probe cooking) that I now can't live without. When a recipe says "heat to an internal temperature of 165 degrees", I immediately pull out the probe and let 'er go! Tell the oven to bake until the probe says it's 165, and then the oven goes into a "keep warm" mode until you get your perfectly-cooked food out. Man, I didn't know what I was missing! Really love this. And there's all the other things this features, like convection cooking and self cleaning. And a nice, LOUD alarm on the oven.
Then they go and put the most feeble buzzer imaginable on the microwave... so low that I can't hear it (although a woman friend could - barely). Don't know why they couldn't have used the same buzzer that was on the oven, but they didn't. BUT the microwave is so powerful and cooks so evenly, that I'll give Frigidaire a pass on that. But FIX IT, folks.
Very pleased with my purchase and the product is amazing. One of the best larger purchases I've made this year!
Got this wall oven at a great price. I replaced my 1984 GE wall oven because the microwave died a few years ago and the oven was having problems keeping a steady temp. I did have a problem with the microwave door sticking. Since I read some other reviews that had this problem, I tested it as soon as I got it and it was sticking right out of the box before I installed it. Contacted support and the service technician fixed it in less than 1 minute. Turned out the frame in upper right hand corner was rubbing slightly on the door and wouldn't allow it to open. He bent it up with his finger and it opens 100% of the time now. The oven is great. I love the fact it comes with a probe so I know exactly what the temp is of whatever I am cooking.
This oven was easy to install. I removed the microwave to make it easier to install since I was doing this by myself. Fit and finish look great. Now I'm just waiting on a deal for the matching fridge like I got for this oven.
The microwave beeping is quiet, but relentless. It keeps going which I don't mind since I sometimes forget I put something in there. The oven beeping is very loud, you won't miss this one! When I am done with the oven the fan runs about 30 seconds and then quits. I always leave the door open though when done baking, so maybe this is why it doesn't run excessively like some have posted.
Overall very satisfied with the purchase. If this lasts as long as my GE I will purchase another one in 32 Years!
I spent 3 months looking for a new wall oven/micro unit to replace my 34 year old Jen-Air. This was the cheapest price by far I could find. Free shipping and no taxes was even better! I love this unit! It's beautiful. Was pretty easy to install. I've read some reviews about the fan running for a long period of time after you turn the oven off, It doesn't seem to bother me.
Looks attractive. All 3, convection, regular and microwave perform as expected. Keypad is easy to use and intuitive. Has basic features such as delay and timed cooking. Did not realize that it is not truly self cleaning but has "steam clean". Haven't used that yet. I was remodeling an older kitchen and duct want to relocate the ovens. I had to have a unit no wider than 27". The selection was few so I chose this model. I also like that the microwave door opens to the side and not down like the newer models. My only complaint is that the microwave door is difficult to open. It requires several pushes or slight prying. The issue was not discovered until unit was already installed and all packing and shipping boxes were already discarded. I suspect this is an isolated problem.
Shipping was very quick and the oven/microwave arrived in perfect condition. Installation was a bit of a challenge because of how the electric was routed through this unit as compared to the one we were replacing. This is no fault of the new unit, just the way it was for us. The look of this unit is great, and we love all of the features. It looks as though you can replace the microwave in the future if there are issues with it. With our old unit, we couldn't replace just the microwave. This one appears that you can. So far, so good. We like it!

This replaced a 17 year old oven combo. In 17 years, you get used to something. This was both an adjustment and a learning opportunity. The learning opportunity was with the convection option and I learned that what works best for me is to simply reduce my baking time by 25%. I don't like to use it for pizza, but do love it for muffins. The adjustment is for the kitchen timer on the microwave. I use it all the time, but it frustrates me that the control is not intuitive. In order to start the timer, you don't push "start", you push the "timer" button again. However, to end the timer once it goes off, you have to press "end" instead of the timer button. It's a small thing, but when used daily and after several weeks I'm still not retrained, it's frustrating and the reason this oven gets 4 stars instead of 5.
My unit installation was uncomplicated....i needed an electrician to make the connection, and a carpenter to make modification to the cabinet. The MW is very quiet and spacious, good power... the oven fan is quite noisy, somewhat annoying....there is a slight "ding" in the oven door, did not notice until the unit was installed, I am probably the only person who will notice this. I bought the 3 year extended warranty... a bit over $200....the unit is quite heavy, and two men would be needed to service it....one service call would likely exceed the cost of the warranty. The oven seems to do a good job. I bought an oven liner, cut it to fit the lowest shelf, do not place liner on the floor of the even. One additional comment, took a bit of time to plumb the microwave to the oven....this two units, a microwave attached to the oven by two brackets, and there must have been a little play between the two. I am 70 years old, no way I could have installed this unit, likely most people will need professional help
This is a great product at a great price. We like the fact that the microwave can be removed and replaced if need be. We've only used the microwave so far, so can't comment on the oven. The microwave is very quiet. So far we're very satisfied with the purchase.
Great Product. Both oven and microwave heat things up quickly. As others commented - the beeping of the timers will drive you nuts. I recommend getting a stand alone timer.
This product is awesome. I love the combination of the microwave and oven. It was easy to install. My previous oven was over 25 years old so I am still learning the features this one has to offer. The rack design and choice of levels is very helpful when preparing more than one dish. I would recommend this for a 27 inch space.
