We haven’t had his very long but I think we are going to love it. The screen is huge, which makes it that much better. We are an Apple family but when needing to get our kid something we debated because the kid used way too much data on our plans that we went over more then once. This seemed to be the cheaper route in the end. I had lots of questions about the kindle fire that I never seemed to get answers to so I hope to help someone else out.
If you’re use to Apple products this will be a little difficult at first but has very similar features to an iPad.

Paid for apps you can play in the car without WiFi.
You can’t just download movies like you can on an iPad, you have to have some sort of account with Netflix or whatever else you may use. So this does cost extra money but it still cheaper then going over data or buying a bigger data package. Small fee to save more money in the long run.
PBS kids video app does not work in the car.
It downloads apps automatically without asking permission so let’s say your kid accidentally hit download on an app you have to pay for it will download no questions asked. Big negative for me. I don’t like the fact that i have to have a password set to even open the screen when i have a child’s profile on it. I wish it only needed the password when leaving the child’s profile. If you don’t have the children’s profile you don’t have to have a password/code. My child sometimes gets she screen locked and I have to unlock whole driving
This thing is amazing! It is definitely big, but so light and we'll made. Great for movies and apps! My 2 year old can even navigate it well! My 5 year old loves it, so does mom! Fast and so many great books, apps and shows! Not cheesy ones, the ones you would pay for! Very fast and I put only what I want on the boys profiles. Actually just bought a second one yesterday!
My 4 year old love her new New FreeTime 10th edition. She previously had the 7th edition and I can say that the difference is quite big I’m glad I upgraded her!
Got this for our daughter as an upgrade to her old 7” Fire; think I love it more than her! It keeps her busy and learning and offers us the ability limit her time on it. Amazon did an amazing job on its devices and already ordered one for myself. Adult version of course!
Washable cover. My son colored the cover with markers and I was horrified. But it washed off with ease. Very happy. I like being able to monitor his usage.

I have purchased all 3 of the Amazing Amazon kids edition fire tablets...the 5", the 7", and now the 10". This is def my fav...I love the big screen for my 4 year old son and it has double the internal memory of the 5 but same as the 7. Some apps have to load on internal so I was not able to add all I wanted on the 5. The Amazon Free Time Unlimited has hundreds of movies and TV shows, Games and apps, books, and tons of Educational and interactive learning apps and shows. It is crazy durable too...My son drops his tablet and the case just bounces and it is great. It also comes with 2 years of worry free insurance. I used the insurance on my sons 5" because about 15 months into playing with it the screen would freeze and it would not always charge. Amazon replaced it with no problems with prime 2 day shipping and I shipped his broken one back. I highly recommend this tablet above any other tablet out there!
After using this item for a couple of weeks now, I really do want to give it a 5-star rating, but I can't. Mainly because the battery itself takes a really long time to charge, and if you use video for any length of time it drains the battery very quickly. Maybe mine is an exception, I really don't know. But, that is very disappointing, when I'm on the road all day. With not much of a chance to try to recharge. Other than that one issue, I absolutely love this thing! It has definitely surpassed All my expectations. Don't hesitate! Buy one!
Phone, and one last thing, the reviews talk very much about the video quality versus the iPad. My wife has the iPad that they're constantly comparing it to, and I can tell you from personal experience and lots of it, I actually prefer this video quality better than the iPad Air. It is absolutely no slouch.
I bought 2 of these for my girls (2 & 6)... I love the size and the fact that there is so much for them to do with the unlimited free time. I have already had to send one back...all of a sudden it became very grainy, not clear ( not even a week of having it). The exchange was simple and my daughter had her tablet back in 2 days! Would definitely recommend. Battery life could be better.
These Fire Kids Edition tablets are a MUST HAVE. This one is a lot bigger than I was expecting, but it’s still so worth it. From the educational goals, to the time limits, the books, the learning games, the WiFi free downloads for on the go use... it’s just perfect for developing little minds. I won’t ever buy any different type of tablet for my son in the future. I also love that it has the option to have multiple profiles and can be a regular tablet for the adults too. 10/10 Worth the investment.
I purchased the bundle for my son, who is six years old, and daughter, who is two years old, and it was a great price for the two tablets. My children LOVE them! The tablets have a really big screen and they are surprisingly light in weight. The bumpers are sturdy and durable. I love that the Kindle can go from the parent profile to the kids' profiles. I purchased two Nabi's before and they were not nearly as good as the Kindle. It is very easy for my children to navigate. I would definitely recommend anyone to buy for their kids.
