Great remote and works seamlessly with Alexa. Operating many network devices like roku requires a good home network. If the hub loses connection you will not be able to control some devices. I love this setup and plan on getting another set for upstairs, although I will probably wait for the price to come down a bit. You can purchase the hub separately and just use your phone as the remote to save some money but I prefer using the remote included in this package

Echo DOT works with POWERED speakers. Or it works fine connected via audio cable to your home audio receiver.
