E6000 230010 Craft Adhesive, 3.7 Fluid Ounces

I glued my husband to my side because I can't live without him. He's not going anywhere. 10/10 would buy again.

Based on ratings, I tried 4 different cloth adhesives. Bish's Original Tear Mender, E6000 in a silver tube, E6000 Fabric Fuse, and Beacon Fabric-Tac. Bish's was the best. After 48 hrs I couldn't pull the fabric apart unless I pulled hard on one edge. The E6000 was close, but not quite as good (but less expensive per once than Bish's). Third was the E6000 Fabric Fuse, which wasn't quite as good as the E6000. The Beacon Fabric-Tac wasn't even in the ball park, but I don't think it was meant to be that strong. I believe it's only supposed to keep things together so they can be sewn. Overall, if Bish's was a 10, E6000 would be a 9, and the Fabric Fuse an 8. Fabric-Tac would only be a 3-4.

I accidentally broke one of my neighbor's landscape lights. She told me that the broken lens was irreplaceable. I had heard about E6000, but had never used it. I immediately ordered it from Amazon. Within two days it arrived. I glued the six pieces together and let it harden for two days. The clear adhesive is hardly noticeable and the light is back in operation. My neighbor said "How did you do that?"

E 6000 is a much more then a craft glue. Even bonds some plastics. Dries clear and almost 100% of the time bonds the two surfaces very well and overall best adhesive for most surfaces !! One additional note is the spray with the same name is a very different product and works nothing like this one, even though it's called E 6000 also!

I'm giving E6000 a 4 for efficacy but I would not use it if I could find an alternative. For jewelry crafting it doesn't yellow and it remains somewhat flexible-- the reason it holds so well. If you get a little bit on a finding or stone, dulling it, you can scrape it off no matter how long it has cured.

This cannot be said of any other glue I have found. Not superglue. Not the specialty jeweler's glue in tiny tubes with the needle-thin syringe (it doesn't hold). Not epoxy. Not even my favorite of favorite glues, Duco Cement.

But it's so gloopy. A pointy applicator tip, not included, won't help, so don't bother. Rhinestones? Gluing them on with melted mozzarella would be easier. The E6000 texture just isn't right for fine applications. You can to work around it with semi-satisfactory results, applying it with a stainless steel dental pick (the style that has a very slight spatula on the end), and even that isn't ideal. Needles and pins don't work, nor do toothpicks. E6000 sticks better to wood than metal or stone.

But it's not just the viscosity. The real problem is the fumes. I am not chemically sensitive. My nickname is Chemical Amy. Wet paint smells pleasant. Bleach, Ammonia, hydrochloric acid -- sock it to me. Some glues make me dizzy, but not E6000 dizzy, which feels ominous way I can't put my finger on. It's not more severe -- it just feels like it's doing permanent damage. The hazards are disclosed on the package, but who takes that stuff seriously? Respirators are for cowards!

Well, not in this instance. Get a vapor respirator. Not a facemask but a real respirator with an organic filter, according to 3M. I don't think E6000 hurts your eyes so you could probably use a half respirator for about $13. Or a heavier duty half-respirator for $25. The filters run about $11. Don't forget to put dogs, cats and babies in another room.

Respirators work, but they're a lousy solution. If you have never used one, they are a MAJOR pain. You're not breathing aire so much as sucking air with enough force to get it to pass through the filter. A lot of force. I hate respirators so much that despite the effectiveness of this product, I will use it for jewelry crafting and a select few applications that require its specific qualities and stick with Duco for everything else.

As an adult figure skater, I save a lot of money stoning my own dresses. This is the glue to use. I've tried others but if you ever want to wash your competition dress (a must for me) then E6000 is the glue for you. I rarely have stones fall off. However, be aware that it is horribly toxic. I stone either outside or with all the windows open. You will definitely not feel good if you try to use it in a small enclosed space. I put a small bit on a paper plate and then twirl toothpicks in the glue to apply to the stones. It's actually a little easier to use as it starts to get goopy. I recommend you put something under your garment (or between your layers) since the glue will seep through the fabric - securing your stupidly expensive swarovskis and adding that extra shine to performances.

This adhesive works absolutely fantastic, however in the future I'm going to buy smaller bottles because unless you're doing large projects a big tube is in a good idea because it dries rather quickly. Oh did I mention that this adhesive is it waterproof? Which means when you use it on jewelry or charms they won't come off despite being used in the water!

This is what you want. It comes out of the tube flowing like honey, attaches easily with no real rush to get it on before it dries and has very good holding power.
Now I see that "Super Glue" is an amazing rip-off. "Super Rip-Off Glue" is designed to glue your fingers together, rush ! Rush ! ! Rush ! ! ! and never bother to put the cap back on "Super Glue" because no matter how big a tube you bought the whole tube will ruin within minutes after you open it. Then you can rush out and buy some more.

Do buyers ever get a break in this world?

This cement i bought years ago to use with the ceramics that i was doing at that time.. i have looked for this item in local walmart etc. for couple years now.. i was so happy to find it by accident on amazon.. i ordered and received it really fast and was exactly what i was looking for.. this is a type of cement that was used on many different items.. i think is definitely a good buy and one that all homes need to have for little things that come up broken around house..

E6000 is and has been for several years my go to glue for pretty much everything. This stuff holds EVERYTHING. It does have an odor but most glues do. I particularly like to use this to put hangers on my ceramic projects and clay works. It lasts indoors and out. I have never been let down by this.
