I had been looking to replace my 14 year old dinnerware set, and instantly fell in love with the Dorotea set! I bought the platter, serving bowl, small plates, large plates, small bowls, and large bowls. They are beautiful! The only thing is that I wish the big bowls were a bit bigger (deeper, with 2-3x the volume). I'd love to have bowls that are the right size for something like noodle soup!
I love my cups but after having them less than 1 year a cup has cracked. I believe it cracked in microwave. Very disappointed. I have given this item as gifts and hope they don't gave same problem. Now 1 short. Wish ou could buy just 1 to fill set.
This is a very cute serving plate. I love the hand-made texture. The one I received unfortunately has some extra orange inks on the surface. It doesn’t bother me too much because overall it still looks pretty. But I still hope Dorothea can improve their quality inspection process.
This platter is an absolutely gorgeous work of art! I am so pleased with this purchase. I had previously purchased the Dorotea mugs and small plates and loved them all, but I gotta say, this platter is my favorite piece!
