These are the worst hoops I’ve ever gotten from this brand! Sure they are cheap, but more than half my batch are unusable. They are so warped that when I try to stretch fabric in them I cannot get the two pieces to go back together. The bottom parts are not round at all and create an uneven shape and gaps when the two pieces are together (see photos above). They are splintering everywhere and are difficult to open and close. I’m sorry to give such a bad review but considering the product is in such bad shape I would like others to know :(
I got a lot of these for a workshop, where people who never cross stitched before were to stitch a simple counted patteren onto a low-number size weave. These worked like a charm, no one had any issues getting the fabric mounted, and the fabric was taut on each hoop. The screws were a bit tight, I did not think it was a huge issue, and we actually had a screwdriver for those who had weak fingers. I did see the blue plastic that people are annoyed about. It is a really tiny piece, and for my purposes it was of no consequence, so I did not try to remove it.
They work as expected for my cross stitching projects. I use them both for stitching and display. There is a blue plastic film that covers the metal part up top, I assume to prevent scratches. It's mostly easy to remove, except for the part that's stuck under the knut, which is permanently fastened. It takes a few minutes with pliers to get most of the blue stuff out of there.
Shipping was extremely fast and even thought they are the same price of everything found in our stores, the quality is WAY better. These hold well and have really smooth edges compared to all the other companies Ive tried. I ordered 3 dozen more because they’re so well made.
Bought these for my wife who was working on making some homemade gifts for the family. They all came in in great shape and was very easy to work with. These are now the go to brand when we need embroidery hoops regardless of size.

How to use
1. Loosen the outer screw, lay flat the inside hoop, put the cloth on the hoop, then put the outer hoop on the inside hoop.
2. Flat the cloth and tighten the screw.
3. Continue to flat the cloth to ensure there are no pleats, and pay attention to fabric to make the warp and the welt both vertical and horizontal, and finally tighten the screws.
4. Inspect the hoop whether it is tight enough. The way to check the tightness is to use a needle with thread going through the fabric surface. It is workable if there is a bang bang sound when pulling the thread.

When I ordered these I was honestly a little skeptical about how the quality would turn out considering the number you get for the price. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I got them to see what great quality they are! There are no splinters, the texture of the wood is smooth and the inner and outer rings match up with no gaps. I'll definitely be buying again.
These are perfect they look very nice and all of them functioned perfectly.
These are great and identical to the ones in Michael’s! Shipped fast and one out of the 12 was not in perfect condition as it was slightly warped on the inner but you won’t notice once you’re done. Will purchase again
Wow. Have you seen how much these are in the store...or tried to find more than 2 at a time!?? This is a great price! Perfect for crafting! (Making Dream Catchers - so these are the perfect size and quality I was looking for!)
These hoops are for doing christmas embroideries. They are so smooth you don't need to sand them as I have had to do with some. Will certainly buy more in the future
