We absolutely love this dishwasher. It's amazingly quiet, and does a terrific job cleaning. One review had said that it was not quiet. When it is being installed, there is a foam/fabric blanket that fits around it. Do not let your installer remove that. It is the sound dampening material that makes it quiet. We love the new 3rd rack, and the tines that make the dishes stand up are perfect. We have both thin and very thick porcelain dishes. All fit perfectly. I took a little time setting my preferences, e.g., you can choose to hear a loud/med/quiet/no ring when the wash cycle is complete; you can choose to have a light/no light shine on the floor when the wash cycle is going; you can choose to have the dishwasher power off/stay on/power off after 1 min after the wash cycle; you can choose/not choose the intensive drying feature; you tell it how much rinse aid to use (7 settings from a lot to none). There are settings to adjust depending on how hard/soft your water is, to give you perfect results. The cycle options are: heavy; auto; eco; normal; speed60; and rinse only. In addition, you can choose: delay; half load; delicate; sanitize; extra dry; and extra scrub.
We love it, and we couldn't be happier. The dishes come out perfectly clean, and my jr. high kids who load the dishwasher aren't rinsing the dishes like I would. They scrape food into the trash, but aren't scrubbing. You have to put your ear to the outside front of the dishwasher to hear any sound at all. We like having the small red light that shines on the floor. It tells us when the dishwasher is on. Otherwise, we would not be able to tell. Love it.
