Victrola Vintage Vinyl Record Storage Carrying Case for 30+ Records, Turquoise

I was a bit wary about the case only being held shut by one seemingly small latch.... and that when you lifted the box by the handle that latch was holding all of the weight... however, so far so good (crossing my fingers on this one). It is the perfect size for a decent amount of records - a two hour radio show, or to take records to a store to sale). The corners aren't horribly round - like some others (which I totally don't get... records are square, why the round corners?). But you do have to push the records inward to keep them from getting crushed when you put the lid down. I have found that even doing this, some corners have gotten bent... but if you need to transport records, what are you going to do... this is about as good as it gets... After having my records in a bin... carrying them around in a large record box... and even getting a carrier that holds 50 records (this was the round cornered one, well made, but what gives?) that was impossible to carry with that many records (wheels anyone?)... this is the ultimate to me... and I really love this little carrier.

I only recently got into collecting vinyl records, and soon needed a container to more safely store my budding collection; I purchased this because it was from the same company that made my first player, and I was soundly satisfied with that purchase, and for the most part this one is just as good a purchase... except for one teensy thing; the interior measurement is just a fraction too small, meaning my records have to be placed in a slight angle, a bit more of a 'corner to corner' diagonal stack rather than straight side to side. A few of my albums are smaller and don't have this problem, but more than half of my collection are too wide, forcing me to do this and ultimately preventing me from completely filling the box. This isn't a large enough issue to make me want to return the product, and I am overall happy with it, but if I really started to expand my collection further and had to completely fill this and other containers, I'd be a bit less enthused with it.

I just received this today, and I'm really surprised at just how nice it is. I wasn't expecting much, but this really seems to be well made. The colors are quite vivid and look sharp. The overall construction seems solid. I'm very happy with this purchase! Now... you will have to air it out, as other reviewers have suggested, so don't expect to immediately fill it... let it breathe for a bit... you'll be glad you did. A great purchase, as far as I'm concerned.

Purchased this case because I recently got into record collecting and found out that storing records vertically is better for the longevity of the records. The material of the case is of reasonable quality and the grey color is nice. The only slight downside of the case is that the wider record sleeves will fit a little snug into the case. This means that the sides of the record sleeves may run against the inner fabric of the case causing some slight wear to the record sleeve. This is easy to fix with a plastic outer sleeve for the records and the records still fit inside the case anyway. A little more room width wise for the case would have been nice but its still a great case for the price. Functional and decent!

So, I've been using an old repurposed wooden crate as a storage holder for my vinyls. To be honest, the crate wasn't exactly the right dimensions for what I was looking for. After some time, I finally broke down and decided to order this carry case for my vinyls.
The case fits my needs at the moment. Nicely made and appears durable enough for my purposes. It is advertised as being for "30+ records" ~ I'm not too sure about that statement. I've put in close to 20 albums in the case and already I can tell that it's quite full.
I'm not going to push my luck and try to fit 30+ records in the case. Maybe 30+ records would fit in the case if they were just the records themselves without any protective sleeves or album covers. All the same, I think that I'll play it safe and stick to a smaller number.

Great storage case! Giving it four stars only because description isn't accurate -- the case does NOT fit 30+ records. I'd say 20 tops and that would be a tight fit. I have 15-16 records in it now and there's just enough room for me to flip through them to see what I'm pulling out. I'm ordering a second case.

Oh my goodness! This exceeded my expectations! It’s so nice and honestly kind of fancy looking! My dad has a early 1900s Victrola record player. He has countless shelves of vinyl records. Him and my uncle always bring records to each other’s house to play and show each other. I saw this and thought it would be perfect! It’s SUPER durable and sturdy, there’s no way your records can be hurt in there. I can’t recommend this enough.

I really like this case, it’s solid, looks nice and serves its purpose. One thing that I didn’t take into consideration when I bought it was that if you have double or triple lp’s, this case won’t hold 30 records. Luckily I’m just starting to collect albums so I don’t have enough for it to be a problem yet. But when I do fill this one up and have to buy another case, I’m thinking I’ll buy another one of these because it looks nice and it’s built well.

This was amazing!! High quality and worth every penny!

I deducted one star because...if the interior of this case were just 1/4" wider, it would be perfect. It is wide enough to hold the albums straight, without angling them as some have suggested, but they do fit snugly. Mine are all in plastic sleeves as well. I put the albums in with the opening at the top so that taking them out and putting them back won't cause unnecessary wear. I can just slip the record itself in and out. Other than that, it's well made and attractive. Love the "Victrola" emblem on the inside of the lid. I got the dark, solid gray and it's very classy looking.
