I ordered these before a trip to sunny Florida, unfortunately they arrived just after my flight. While I was on my trip I found them in stock at Ron Johns, in some of the colors I was looking for but couldn't find here. I snagged a pair and ended up going back for another.
Here's the deal, these are super comfortable. I've owned a bunch of different brand compression shorts and these are hands down more comfortable all the way around. The waist band rides at a normal height, so no it will not ride above your trunks (looked like they would ride high if you visit there web site) and you cant really feel it the way you can on other compression shorts. The dry time is quick. Best part was that I usually can't go out for dinner after a few hours at the beach because I feel salty and uncomfortable but after throwing these on and taking a swim I felt totally comfortable throwing on the t-shit and heading out without so much as a freshwater shower.
Con's: Cost, and they are pretty thin so I'll have to update about durability but they seemed fine out of the wash.
I bought based on reviews, but still wasn't sure what to expect. Holy insanity was I surprised! These were so freaking comfortable I wish I could wear them all the time. Super soft, nice support, no rubbing/chaffing, I wear them mostly for swimming and haven't had problems with them wearing down like other products. When I run in them I fell no rubbing. This was big for me because I used to run a lot and was skinny, but since school I've gained a LOT of weight and my legs rub, but with these on I didn't even notice. If I wasn't a poor college student id definitely buy more. If you are wondering if these could really be worth the price, YES they really are!
Finally was able to try this at the beach. I was in the water for about 4 hours straight! no rash or bleeding on my junk! It absolutely works and im going to buy more. Dries fast too

- Yes. The fit is snug, but you still don't really feel them.
"Quick-drying for ease of wear from surf to sand"
- No. It took almost 12 hours to dry from soaking wet handing on a line and was obviously still wet after 6 hours. I don't consider that quick drying. It's not a big deal because they are so light, but I was hoping for something I could wear around a water park and not be damp all day.
Older dude who likes board shorts but need support for my boys, if you know what I mean. You won't even know your wearing these and they dry fast. Very comfortable.

Holy Cow! I just spent all day in these at a water park and its the most comfortable I've ever been in the water. Everything they advertise is true. Perfect to wear under board shorts. I'm definitely ordering more ahead of the family fall break beach trip at the end of the month.
My husband likes these so much we bought a second pair. He uses them for swimming, but they are also great for workouts.
Worked as expected. I gave four stars only because the material seemed to get a little pilly after a few uses.
