Good size for diamond painting. 9 of the small packs of square drills will fit in one of the little boxes.
Out of the 56 little boxes included in this set of 2, one of the little boxes wouldn't close tightly. I tried shaking drills out of the small gap. Couldn't do it.
I tested dropping the small boxes while full of drills. When dropping a small distance, like dropping back onto a table, the boxes that closed tight didn't pop open. The box with a gap popped open and spilled drills about 8/20 times. (I didn't want to repeat the test drop on to the floor. That was a mess.) Not perfect, but I think that's good for normal use.
I used a Sharpie to write the symbol and DMC color on the boxes. It started rubbing off right away. I think it will be okay while working on a project, but for long term storage, I'd want to find a better way to label them.
I'm ordering another set.
Edited to add: I did buy a second set and the quality was the same for that one. After working for about 20 hours on one of my big canvasses, I got tired of the Sharpie marker wearing off. I re-labeled with washi tape and wrote on the tape. That's been holding up great (at more than 60 hours of use).
I did drop a full little container and have drills go everywhere. I think that could potentially happen with any storage system that doesn't have screw on lids, though. Considering that I have some chronic pain in my fingers, I rather have the ease of opening these.
These little boxes are perfect. They arrived in perfect condition, nothing broken or cracked. I spent some time sorting my diamond paint beads and putting them into the boxes. They open easily as intended, and once closed they did not open when I accidentally dropped them ( from table top to the floor). This was a great relief!
The boxes are a great size. I love that I can see through them to see the colors :)
The cases the boxes come in are a thicker plastic, the only thing that worries me is the little latches might break after some time of use. The cases make it super convenient to store the little boxes in, and easy to transport or store you collection of beads.
I put the DMC color sticker numbers on the top of the boxes I filled.
I will be ordering more of these awesome boxes.
I love these for storing jewelry-making items! Having 28 separate little boxes within one big box makes being organized and keeping things neat and tidy much simpler. Also, it's extremely helpful when I want only a few mini box-encased things, I just take out what I need without having my workspace cluttered with big containers scattered about. I also love how I don't have to worry about the contents spilling over into another section while moving the main (larger) container around. Additionally, having my items stored in their own little boxes within the bigger box makes for added protection from moisture, dust, etc.
The plastic itself is clear enough to see what I need to see and is well-made. I love love love this and have already gone back to purchase more! One of my best purchases yet for keeping my inventory accessible and organized for my small business!
I absolutely love these storage containers. I love the fact that they are separated. The little containers are great for my diamonds and close nice and tight. When I need to open I just gently squeeze and the lid opens. I am going to order more shortly. The shipping was extremely fast which is something else I loved. Now my tiny diamonds won’t get lost which is why I ordered this, I’m so glad I did!

Great for storing small items. These are small so don't hold much, but when you're talking 'jewels' for diamond painting they are perfect. You can pull out the color you want, pour out what you need, and then close it back up to prevent spills. Easy open and close, these containers probably wouldn't take a beating but will last with normal wear and tear.

Case is sturdy and holds 28 single boxes. On larger projects, I use a Darice Elizabeth Ward Bead Storage Solutions: 45 or 82 Piece Assorted Storage Tray. These are great because you can see the color, they are secure, easy to close and if you give them a squeeze they will pop open easily. I use a chalk pen to label the individual boxes but use a regular stick on label to label the box with the canvas name. I'm usually working on more than one canvas - I work on the one that suits my mood of the moment. I find diamond painting really relaxing and since I am working on computers most of the day, I really love having something in hand that is completed and tangible!
These approximately 1" boxes work well for certain small electronic parts -- things I had in bags and had to search to find. I just received these I cannot confirm their durability so I gave them a 5. As the small boxes fit in a larger box that also has a lid I think they will last for my use -- opening a few times a week.
I love these boxes. They are about 1" cubes, very easy to open with a simple squeeze on the sides, and hold plenty of drills for diamond storage. Clear, so contents are easy to see without opening the box. They store very nicely in the larger box. I was so pleased with my first purchase, I purchased another set. They are not the cheapest boxes out there, but for me, they were the best to store by diamond painting drills. I think they are a good value for the quality of the product.
I LOVE that if the lid opens all my beads will not fly out! I have spent so much time picking up spilled beads and I am really hope this lasts and continues to work. Much rather have a small box fall out than a thousand small beads!!
Bought this for the diamond painting, my grandkids and I do. It keeps everything neat, and together, without spills common with 9 & 13 year olds! little boxes open easy with a gentle squeeze but hold tight---big boxes latch down. All are able to be seen through, so makes it very easy!
