Strap by Woojer - Immersive haptics for Music, Games & AR/VR.

I'm really enjoying my Strap and if you want to feel music or games, it really does a great job. I also love the fact that it's compact and lightweight. Def a big plus when it comes to carrying with you & using it for a few hours. I've even had some workouts with it). On a side note, I also had the SubPac M2 which does pretty much the same thing (it's stronger but I lowered the intensity anyways, otherwise it becomes annoying), but it's also pricier and bulkier. I find the Strap more accurate as well. So for a convenient immersive experience, take a closer look at this one.

I bought the Woojer Strap after being disappointed by Lofelt's Basslet (which I also reviewed on Amazon). Here is a more organized version of the review I posted on the Basslet's page.

Strap - What I Like:
> On-board volume control, allowing for a stronger bass sensation by maximizing your audio source's volume and lowering your Strap's volume so you don't blow out your eardrums.
> Bluetooth connection to your audio device (I don't use Bluetooth headphones so I'm not sure if it's possible to connect both the Strap and headphones to your audio source)
> Body-rumbling bass. It feels incredible. Music will forever feel empty without haptics.
> Looks cool, makes me feel like Iron Man (especially when wearing it under my shirt).
> Immersion. Both with music and video games. You won't realize what you're missing until you try it.

Strap - What I Don't Like:
> It's LOUD. Everyone will be able to hear you. You will sound like "that guy" in "that car" just without the car. I will not feel comfortable wearing this in crowded places.
> It's a bit awkward to put on correctly. If you plan on sticking with the same wearing position (Woojer gives 3 recommendations), this wont be a problem. If you plan on changing it up depending on your activity, prepare for some crazy contortions each time you switch.
> It's bulky. I didn't realize how large the back module is. There's also a curly (think wired telephone) cord attached to the back module allowing you to reposition it so it's directly opposite the front module when you're wearing it. When wearing it under your shirt, it only looks good from the front.

What I like more about the Basslet:
> Size. It's small, just like a watch.
> Bass-response feels more on-beat and less muddy. I feel more variation at lower frequencies.
> Quiet. You don't feel like "that car."

What I don't like about the Basslet:
> Quiet. The sensation is underwhelming. It's forearm-rumbling, not body-rumbling. You feel more like you're next to "that car" than actually being "that car"
> Awful wristband. It's far more awkward to put on that the Basslet, but at least you can change out the band.
> No Bluetooth support.
> Wearing a watch on my left wrist and the Basslet on my right wrist. I'm a little vain and I think it looks absurd (though it's easy to hide).
> Price. For how expensive the Basslet is, I was expecting a stronger sensation. You definitely get more "boom for your buck" with the Woojer Strap. I even got the Basslet on sale for $130, and normally it sells for $200.

Final thoughts:
I'm returning my Lofelt Basslet. It wasn't worth $130 to me. It would've been perfect if it had a sensation more like the Strap's. Combining haptics with music is brilliant and addictive. I wish the Strap was more discrete. I wish I could wear it in crowded areas without turning heads. It's something I want to wear everywhere all the time, whenever I'm listening to music. I bought the Strap on sale for $150, and I'm not sure if I would've bought it at its normal price of $250. I'd say $200 would've been my limit. It feels far more immersive than the Basslet, but the size and loudness are what caused me to give it a 4/5 and not a 5/5. That being said, I'm not sure it's possible to have such a strong sensation without the loudness. Also, if you wear this while jogging or only plan to wear it at home, you may consider it a 5/5. I recommend you try it. Again, I feel like $250 is a little steep, so try waiting for it to go on sale (unless you absolutely can't wait to experience it). I'm not sure if I'll keep my Strap or return it. It gives me the sensation I expect from this kind of tech, so I'm leaning more towards keeping it at the moment, but Woojer has a 30 day trial, so my mind may change since I won't get to wear it as often as I'd hoped. I think out of the three major haptic music devices currently on the market (Strap, Basslet, Subpac), the Strap is the best (I haven't tried the Subpac, but it's far too large and expensive for my non-VR needs).

I've never experienced anything like this before and it is going to be hard to listen to games or music without this thing!
It seems to last about 6-8 hours at medium intensity and takes 3+ hours to charge.
I got mine for $120 which is a great deal.
Bluetooth works great, and with research on the support center was simple enough to set up for pc at least.
Shakes your body to the beat/sound!
You look like iron man which is awesome!

Let me tell you the pro's out way the cons.

Not worth $250 but definitely get it on sale and why I gave it 4/5 Stars; What they don't tell you:

-If you're buying this for VR only its not worth. it will damper your sound quality out of the vr headphones because you have to set the woojer as the default device and mirror sound to the headphones. Personally I do not want to sacrifice sound quality for vibrations on my body. I mean when you have to set woojer as default device it really has radio like quality/stereo. Luckily enough you can set your headphones as the default device for better sound quality. Through mobile even though woojer is default device for sound it still sounds good. Just not VR. At least not with the Rift.

- The strap itself is comfortable but what isn't comfortable is the subwoofer box on the center of your back. Which means you cannot lean back into a chair comfortably with this thing on. And you will be sitting forward with it on.

- I am unable to hook it up on my tv because I do not have bluetooth on tv and ps4/xbox block bluetooth from other devices and all my usb ports are used up. I also do not have a headphone port on my tv so its not really an option and console setup may require an additional bluetooth splitter to setup which seems not feasible or a hassle. Take it for what you will.

This is a great addition to a game night. Been trying to get my hands on the strap for several months and finally got the cash to get one. What can I say? definitely worth it. Just had some really fun time with the strap plugged into my XBOX. The feeling you can have while playing Halo or Battlefield is unbelievably realistic. I was literally shaking during direct attacks - gives you a new immersive experience even with a game you played 1000 times before. My buddy even tried to steal this one from me but I wouldn’t let him :) On the flip side, you've got to remember to charge it every night because the battery is going to last 4 hours-ish if you turn the sensation on its high setting (which I did). But other than that, glad about my purchase. Can’t wait for woojer to finally come out with their Ryg/Vest. Great job team woojer!

I've been testing out the Strap for two weeks now, and I'm very, VERY impressed.
The build quality is great. Couldn't ask for more.

For music, I'm totally addicted. Music seems lifeless now without the strap - I'm using it with my Samsung S9 and wireless Bose headphones via the mobile's dual BT setup. This thing ads SO MUCH!

I'm not a gamer. But my flatmate is and he’s now into it too. He describes a full immersive experience by feeling footsteps, gun shots and explosions.

He’s now seriously looking at buying a Woojer Vest and scraping the $$$ together. LOL.

I wanted this for playing games and feeling impacts of gunshots, explosions etc. I am absolutely not disappointed with the device, you can feel every explosion or shot andthe distance in game is also felt on the straps impact level. I have also tried it out with music and it really enhances anything that is bass heavy the most. I tried out multiple games and they had varying levels of impact, but I think some games are more suited than others. I also gave a couple of movies a test and those seemed enhanced to me as well. Avengers and Return of the Jedi were both amazing. I love sound and alternative ways to experience it, but this did not fail to meet my expectations. I was so impressed I ordered their vest from indiegogo! Great job Woojer!

Used this for music and gaming THIS IS A COMPLETELY IMMERSIVE new experience. I can NEVER play video games without this!!!! Felt like I was completely in the Game!! just WOWWWW NEED MORE ⭐️ S for the strap. So far so good will do another review with time.

Fantastic product creation for us Bass Heavy music, movie, and video game lovers! I never leave home without it!!! Just don't over do it. There's a good comfortable volume, and there's a distorted, destroy your strap volume. Adjust it accordingly if you want it to last!

I bought a Strap based on some stuff I saw online. Well - Fortnite with the Strap got hooked!! It’s totally AWESOME!!
Highly recommend for gamer or not! It really makes you feel like you are inside the game and amazing to feel every aspect of the game :)
After reading some of the reviews I played music with the Strap - Woowoo... what a difference
Worth every penny!

Not only does this add the effect of being at a live concert by making you actually feel the base. This product will also amplify your headsets sound limits, don't crank it too loud or you might blow your headset. I use a sony wh-1000xm3 for music, and a hyperx cloud 2 for gaming and I can crank them both beyond their limits with this product.
