The Spin-X is the centrifuge dryer used in our professional crafts fiber dye lab. It gets heavy usage from a number of people and it performs like a champ. It's been in the lab for a few years, and it's still going strong. When I'm ready to purchase my own centrifugal dryer, it will be the Spin-X used or new.
It is stable and won't rock at all if you make sure the items are evenly dispersed in the unit. Easy to shut off by just lifting the locking mechanism slightly, moving it left to an eight count. There's no need to tip the Spin-X to ensure complete water extraction. It does that by itself. The only thing is the plastic parts can become discolored with dyes if the unit is not wiped down after use. Since we use it for dyeing, we also pass a damp cloth inside the metal container to ensure there's no residual dye stain after the fabrics have been extracted.
I've owned one for about three years. It is very effective when loaded properly.
