Description
An immaculately ironed shirt, especially with perfect symmetrical, laser-straight creases is a thing of beauty. For formal wear, business meetings or special occasions, you want your shirt to look like it was pressed by a professional. Nothing stands out more than badly creased sleeves with blurred, wavy lines that break in the middle, or the ultimate failure- ‘tram lines’ that can be seen from across a room. Simply remove Perfect Sleeve from the handy magnetic clip holder, slide it into your sleeve and let go! It will spring out to push your sleeve into the perfect shape and leave you hands free to iron away. Perfect sleeves in seconds, every time!
a quick fix to cut down ironing time!
Nobody likes to iron sleeves. You have to turn them over and over, hoping that you are not ironing in creases on the other side. A real pain.
This great item does away with that and sleeves are now so much easier and turn out so nice looking with little ease.
It will never be a pleasure for me to iron shirts, but I don't dread it now.
It's easy to use and is well enough made to last indefinitely.
I have never liked ironing sleeves on men's dress shirts. It's hard to get it laid out perfect and then hope you aren't ironing creases into the other side. This sleeve assistant works like a charm! It's easy to use and it really does make ironing sleeves simple.
I hate ironing. A lot. Tools like this take away some of the issues I have with it, though! This really does help keep a sleeve straight enough to iron quickly and easily. So glad to find this!!
This definitely makes sleeves on my button-down men's shirts trivial to do. Just insert it, let go, iron in-between, and both sides get done in one pass. It just holds it taught so no risk of ironing across any folds left on the top or bottom. No more fiddling to get it spread out just right while being tugged by the shirt hanging over the edge of the board, and only to find out there is a fold underneath on the back side that didn't lay flat. I still ironed both sides for good measure, but it was trivial to flip and do. The rod appears intentionally uneven, so you would likely put the long side at the top to hold a little further into the shoulder while the bottom stops at the arm pit. I didn't find that part especially helpful or not. It just looks like it was bent off center, but is intentional.
It is pretty easy to insert & remove from shirts. But it still takes a little effort to squeeze to remove or insert because it is a spring and takes two hands to get it into your one hand, then push or pull on the sleeve with the other hand to insert or remove. The magnetic holder is a strong magnet, but not quite strong enough for the thicker ironing board cover I have, so it swivels around quite a bit because it is just one magnet in the center. Perhaps two magnets to keep it from swiveling on center would have been better. But even if you do use it, it is kind of in the way and easy to knock it out of the holder. You have place it at just the right level in the holder or it will slip out on its own. I bumped the top with my shirt and knocked it out the bottom. Honestly, I think a simple hook underneath the ironing board to hitch onto one of the little loops on the end of the wire would be easier and out of the way when not in use. I honestly end up just tossing it sprung open on a chair behind me.
Now if only the rest of the shirt was as easy. This product does what it is supposed to do, for sleeves. I still have to fiddle with laying other parts of my shirt across the board just right, but at least those are generally easier than sleeves. Now I do wish I had one of these for adult-sized pant legs.
