I was hesitent to buy this given all the reviews however I got mine for under $10 on Amazon around Christmas time along with some other book titles. 1) I agree it takes some getting use to but once you do it a few times you get the hang of it and I don’t have the issues with the projector moving around as much. 2) this doesn’t work with my iPhone case (I.e. I’ve got an otterbox) but that’s ok with me. I knew that going into buying this so this might be a non starter for some. My kids only use with me so I don’t mind taking my otter box my phone and using this (note I’m using this with my iPhone 8 Plus). I’ve not used with our iPad but will update review once we do. 3) my kids LOVE this. They love reading the stories on our ceiling. We pile up in my bed (my kids are 5 and 7) and read bedtime stories on the ceiling 4) it has music which is a nice touch or you can mute it but the sound effects can be cute in some of the books 5) the selection of some popular books is a great touch, although we have most them in hard back or paper form they love having some of these titles on our Moonlite 6) family bonding, while we do read books before bed this adds a nice touch to change it up and make it more fun, my kids truly get excited to read our moonlite stories so although this doesn’t replace our nightly routine stories given we only have about 6 titles right now it’s a great supplement to change up the routine and make story time even more fun. I highly recommend this if you have young kids and are looking for something to make bed time reading more fun.
I’ve been dying to try this device with my daughter, but I didn’t want to go all in on a $40 package to find out I hated it. This package was the perfect price and size. The projector itself takaes some adjusting to get just right over the flashlight, but after a few uses, it becomes much easier. The ap was surprisingly better than expected. I thought it would just be the story by itself. I was surprised to find out that certain words have a box around them, and when the box is pressed, a sound effect comes on. The background music is nice, but it doesn’t always go with the story. It’s easy to adjust the volume, though, so this isn’t a deal breaker. My daughter loves seeing her favorite Munsch books up on the ceiling while we read and begs for the stories over and over. I thought it might be too babyish for her since she’s 5, but the variety of stories offered makes it easy to find something age appropriate. We’ll definitely be adding more of these gems to our library.
I bought this for a gift for my 3 year old daughter. She loves having books read to her and was excited to try this out. I downloaded the app and put it on my phone and and older phone that she plays games on. She thinks it’s fun sitting in the dark and she likes to push the words that have lines under them in the story because they add a special effect noise to the story. The picture isn’t the clearest but still cute. The only downside is it takes a lot of battery power from your phone. So have it charged and you will want to have a charger for after.
Exactly as described. It's a fun way to read to the kids. They love to cut the lights off and lay down and shine it on the ceiling. Very easy to set up. The app is great and I didn't realize it includes sound effects that go along with the story. My kids love this as well. I'm not sure why some people keep saying it's out of focus or blurry. The set up instructions clearly say there is a focus wheel on the front. All you have to do is turn that slightly and it comes into perfect focus. Very easy to use and lots of fun! I will be buying more stories.
My 3 year old LOVES this at night, before bed. The only thing that gets annoying is that the projector comes off every time I move the reel to go to the next slide or photo. I have to holdit down with one hand while spinning the wheel. For the price though, it is an awesome product. I bought one for all of my nieces and nephews, for easter.

This was really great for my son to help get him to his bed before sleep. Instructions were very explanatory and easy to set up. It is a little tricky setting up the projector on the phone since you have to place it directly over your phone flashlight, but once it's on, the pictures were vibrant and clear. Don't turn the reel too hard or it will move the projector out of place. (I just have to remember to hold it tight before turning. ) I do enjoy the sound effects the app comes with to match the story.
I absolutely love this as a gift, have given it and received it. It’s a very magical experience for your child. I do not use it every night like I would like, mostly because my son wants to just stay up and keep reading more and more.
Using with a smartphone, this is a fun item and creates wonderful quality time with your young ones. Great story options to please anyone!
I really like this idea. It is like the view masters that with the projecters that only the rich kids had. Now you can have the same experience for your kids and/or grandkids. It’s easy to use annd my grandkids love it. The only thing I wish it had was a stand to set it on (like a tripod) because it’s hard to keep it steady while reading at the same time.
This is a super fun way to change things up during story time with the kids. Easy to use, cute images & really fun. My 3 & 5 year old loved it!
