I did a lot of research and ordered several covers for my recently purchased Fire HD 10 tablet, and most of them were returned for various reasons, but this one was a keeper. I wanted a cover that was: protective and sturdy, as the Fire 10 is a rather heavy and awkwardly sized tablet in length; equipped with a hand strap so the tablet could be held securely when using for either viewing or reading; and one with a auto off/on cover that was also magnetic. I got almost everything I wanted in this cover. The only thing missing is the magnetic closure ~ this cover secures with an attached black elastic, which I am normally not a fan of, but this feature isn’t bad, and the cover’s other features make up for this one thing. Bonus features that I found I loved was the tablet’s ability to swivel in the case which is great for reading in portrait view or watching video in landscape, and the 2 grooves that position the tablet are well made and positioned. This cover with the hand strap and rugged exterior outfitted with pockets and nooks is very sturdy, and adds significant weight to the tablet, but I am also sure it will protect it very well if accidentally bumped or dropped. Overall, I find that out of the 2 cases I kept for the Fire 10, I favor keeping it in this case most of the time due to the case’s sheer functionality. I would definitely recommend this case for it’s very practical and useful features and for value for its price point.
Works ok if you use it in the horizontal position (which I do), have to hold the kindle sometimes when tapping or it pops out of the grooves and collapses. I gave up on the vertical position because it was virtually impossible to keep it upright for any length of time, I use a bluetooth keyboard so my tapping and swiping are minimal, if I had to type on the kindle display I'd go nuts! The case itself is well made and seems to protect the kindle although I wonder how long the elastic band that holds it shut will last. Since I rarely take my kindle outside my home I can live with shortcomings but I would hesitate to recommend it.
UPDATE: :The seller responded quickly to my review, suggesting that I might have received a defective product. They offered either a refund or a replacement (either the same case or a different model) and said there was no need to return the original. I chose a different model and received it within a week, it works fine. While I still have reservations about recommending the original, I certainly can't fault the sellers timely response and generous solution to my problem.
These are by far the best made covers I've ever ordered. I have been an avid Kindle owner since the first generation and have owned one in almost every size since inception. I am not an Apple/ios user, and literally live on Amazon, so the Kindles are perfect for most of my needs. The cases I have bought in the past were okay, but these are FAR superior.
PROS:
* Super sturdy material - Outer shell is almost like a textured plastic, but still very flexible. Inside is soft and velvety.
* Cut-outs where speakers are - Makes a HUGE difference in sound. Most others are muffled because the speakers are covered.
* Auto sleep/wake function - This is by far my favorite feature, as it functions just like opening and closing a book.
* Swivel function - is great so that you can use it either portrait or landscape.
* Deep Grooves - The grooves are much deeper and more sturdy than others I've had.
CONS:
* NONE - at lest none that I could find.
I have another version of their cases for my 7th gen Kindle HD 10, (non-swivel with a built-in handle on the inside for holding) and fell in love with it. My mother, who has a 6th gen HD 10, was in need of a case, too, so I purchased this swivel case for her. Even though hers is a 6th gen, it still fits perfectly, HOWEVER, the one function that does NOT work is the auto sleep/wake. (The sensors are in different spots, so it will not work with this case). But this brand is so much better than all the others that she was willing to forego the sleep/wake function.
All in all, I HIGHLY recommend MoKo cases, regardless of which style you purchase. We now have two different ones and love them equally.
I was impressed with the quality and functionality of this case for my new Fire Tablet. It is well -made, the design was very thoughtful taking into account the tablet functionality: cutouts for the volume, on/off buttons, charging port, sound, hard edges to hold the tablet in the case. The most impressive feature by far for me was being able to rotate the tablet in a portrait mode- much needed for reviewing recipes while cooking. I didn't find any use yet for the elastic bands- but they are well attached. The stitching on the case is very well done- equal, no lose threads. In terms of protection from shock don't expect too much from this case. It will provide minimum protection, but there are no rubber edges that could absorb the shock of an accidental drop. All in all, it fits the purpose I bought it for, it looks like a medium-high quality item, great design- I'm really happy with my case/ stand for my Fire tablet.
This is my favorite case for phone or tablet ever. I now carry my Kindle everywhere. Before this my screen received several scratches, but is now well protected when not in use.
Compares to Fintie brand.
This is the multifunctional type of case to consider for around home and office use, carrying in bags or on it's own, viewing in portrait and landscape mode, viewing on a desk or table as well as handheld or lap. It is not for heavy dropping or outdoor usage.
Like most of its type, it is Easy to pop the tablet in and out yet doesn't pop out on it's own on accident, which surprised me, since upon receiving I thought the HOLDER case, while much less annoying than some others, was too little to keep it the tablet in place, but it does.
The EXTERIOR appears to have a richly painted canvas which fully shows the beauty of the beloved painting, but in truth is a solid surface which doesn't seem to pick up dirt and is easily wiped down.
The INTERIOR is smooth, no lint.
The GROOVES hold nicely and the swivel turns smoothly then holds the tablet in place.
The elastic PEN HOLDER is the first one actually not too large or too small and therefore actually receives regular usage.
The elastic CLOSURE does it's job of holding the case closed in case and fading into the background.
I often use it in my lap simply folded back on itself or even held in my hand so the WEIGHT is light enough not to make this an onerous task. (is not too burdensome or tedious)
My one 'druther (preference that I would like changed) is that the swivel is open right to the back of the tablet, (you can see this in the picture, the black circle is the black of the tablet) leaving it exposed to any spills or rain splashes, dirt and lint working it's way in, all the things I bought a cover to protect it from. Not everyone wants five bags specialty bags for every little thing or huge cases, and this is that sort of in between compromise kind of case. I want to be able to put my Kindle in my purse or suitcase, on my end table, and to pick it it up and use it.The indention is deep enough there is no danger of any scratches or splashes, and I'm really not too concerned. it's an unlikely scenario, someone would truly have to spill a drink on my device. I think this is left open as a way to help you push the tablet out, and if you want to see the color of your tablet, here you can. Clearly, it didn't take away from my rating, since if you were looking for an otter box you would buy an otter box. Also, after going back and looking at my other cases, some of them have this as well, being smaller, they are just less noticeable.
THIS CASE had every feature I was looking for, has held up to daily usage thus far, and is by the most the most beautiful. All while being not too heavy but still letting me feel as if there is some protection against minor slips, bumps, and splashes.

Overall, this case works well, except in portrait mode. Since the main reason to buy this case over another, cheaper case is portrait, I'll have doc a point. The main problem is stability, you can't press on the top of the tablet (at all) without it collapsing. If the grooves were pocketed to hold the bottom edge tighter, this would be a fantastic case.
Wow! This case for my Fire HD 10 tablet is fantastic! It does virtually anything I could possibly imagine in a case. If I could give it 10 stars I would! The magnetic on/off switching works perfectly, all controls and ports are immediately and easily accessible, the case does NOT interfere with screen protector or either camera port. Well-executed, designed and quality-controlled manfuactured item. I really, really like it! Plus the vendor is top-notch as well [see separate review of BCStore.]
Well made and very pretty. It has an elastic strap that doesn't show in the photo and although I don't always use it I find it nice to have. The auto wake/sleep feature works without a problem. In the past I had the same case in a different color for my 8.9" fire so after searching for options for a cover with stable portrait positioning I purchased the same cover for my fire 10. I also like the positioning of the stylus loop on the front cover rather than dangling on the edge. Some may not care for the rotating mechanism on the back cover but it's not an issue for me at all. It's kind of nice as place to put your fingers when holding the kindle.
I previously owned a finte swivel case for my old fire 8. I thought was great with the exception that the spine wasn't strong/stiff enough to hold the screen vertically, and would collapse unless propped against something else.
I recently bought a fire 10,and after reading the reviews between Finte and Moko, I decided to try this case. I love it! Made very well, almost silky feeling since it's so smooth, and the spine is strong enough to hold the screen vertically or horizontally. I also love that the loop for the stylus is on the front and not the side,it works great for holding my reading glasses.
I had initially purchased another case for my new Fire 10. It was flimsy, wouldn't stand up vertically and when standing in the case, the tablet fell down everytime someone bumped or jiggled the table. Annoying!! This case stands vertically and horizontally, has an elastic band to hold the case closed, deep grooves in the case keep the tablet sturdy when standing and the loop for the stylus is on the front of the case, not dangling off the side. The case is also much more substantial, I feel this case protects my tablet when I drop it. This case is quite a bit heavier and bulkier than the flimsier case so it can fatigue your hands when holding it for long periods and it does weigh you bag down. I love everything else about the case, so the weight isn't a deal breaker for me.
