What it does, it does very well. It is not good at penetrating an item with stiff interfacing. The little fasteners are harder to remove than pins, but fight with the sewing machine in the same way. Do not sew over them. If you get one, keep the little fasteners somewhere protected. They are easy to damage when still on the backing strip. Be sure to keep an extra needle on hand, as you are nearly certain to run it through your finger, sooner or later, and the directions say once it draws blood the needle should be changed. Can be used to attach buttons.

I am a skilled sewer (personally own 3 sewing machines) so one would think I'd have no use for this product...wrong! I've had it 1 day and am already wondering how I did without it. For quick jobs that only require a stitch or 2 it is way faster than threading a needle. Plus it anchors better than a knot in lose woven fabrics. I was honestly surprised by the ease of use as well as how undetectable they are. You really have to look close to realize that it's not thread. For those of you wondering what it is exactly (as I was), it's the same as a tagging gun except that the little pieces of plastic are tiny.

***Quick tip...if you are working with a light weight fabric and want the "stitch" to hold tighter, take the needle back through the fabric on the same side you entered (think of pinching the fabric and poking the needle through both plies) then squeeze the trigger to send the tack through.

Great solution for a quick hem. I bought this to hem curtains, did the job beautifully in seconds. I would not stitch a dress with it, this is a quick solution for a simple hem or any arts and crafts project. Simple idea with simple result- I actually can't believe no one thought of it earlier. Love it, and already thinking of other things I can use it for. I highly recommend it!!

I simply ADORE this. So much so that I purchased 2 more, so I always have one on hand. I initially purchased it as a means of pairing my family's socks prior to putting them into the wash (I was spending WAY too much time matching socks!), and it works pretty well for this purpose. The attachments are small enough not to become entangled with each other in the washer or dryer. They aren't big enough, however, to use on socks with a chunky, loose knit. I've used the Micro stitch on fabric, thin high-quality leather, paper, cardboard, and probably some other things that I'm forgetting. I would definitely not consider this a permanent attachment method, but it is just perfect for things that you want to stick together for a while & then be able to separate. I should mention that it is quite sharp, so I would not recommend letting children use this on their own - it is really easy to poke a finger whilst holding together the items you are trying to attach.

I love this, but I am buying another one for comparison. I swear the needle is disappearing into the machine because it is now 1/2 the length I started with. It's hardly long enough to get through the fabric. Photo included.

I'm not exactly one who gushes about an inanimate object. That said, get ready for some lavish applauds for the Micro Stitch.

I use this great gadget almost daily and have purchased 20+ over the years. I keep one in my closet, at work, in a travel bag, etc. I've also given scads away as presents. Each time the response is similar - "How did I live without this thing?"

The Micro Stitch uses small plastic grommets, which are miniatures of those used to attach sales tags to clothing. Once an item is stitched in place, it usually stays until you "pop" it off. That may be the same day or. if it's a pair of jeans, after many years of washing and wearing. (And always with no signs it was ever there!)

I have used it to...anchor comforters inside duvets, cover large "dry-cleaner style" rolling carts in a fabric, fashion Barbie dresses. cure "blouse gap", keep bra straps in place, secure scarves here-and-there for that casual look, shorten/hem sleeves and pant legs, etc.,etc., etc.

Have I bent needles or jammed a gun? Yes, but only after they've been around for a few years and gone through some brutal usage.

BTW: With some practice it is possible to do an inside-stitch that CAN NOT BE SEEN on the outside. This makes it GREAT for creating hems that have a well tailored look.

Gushing will now cease. :-)

A trip lifesaver! I had purchased several pair of new slacks for a business trip recently and as always, my amazing grandma was hemming them for me (I know I'm spoiled teehee), when suddenly she came down with an eye infection! Out of sheer desperation, I ordered this gizmo to "hem" my slacks for the trip. Using this and some hem tape, not only did the hems look fantastic but here we are months later and the hems still look great! I also have used this to "tack" my duvet cover onto my duvet, which was always slipping around and had been a problem forever. Seriously happy with this item! And just in case your wondering, grandma bounced right back and is doing well :)

My mom told me about this product... and I love it. I have multiple panels of curtains and it just hooked them all together so I don't have to worry about light coming through or separation of the panels. I will have to think about other uses as well...I'm sure there is many. The only drawback was it took me a bit to figure it out...how to install the little plastic clip...but I finally got it.

Exactly what I was looking for! I don't sew. This was extremely easy to use. I needed a fix for the open space between my buttons. Tried fabric tape and safety pins, both annoying and difficult to try and attach properly. This was perfect.

This is my new favorite toy/gadget/tool. I use it to mend my twin boys’ pants. They have teeny three year old waists and I can’t sew! That, and they grow so fast I can undo the changes quickly. I’m using it to make my Halloween costume this year too. I’m constantly thinking of reasons to use it. Love love love it.
