I needed something to blackout my window and this material is PERFECT ! It was exactly what I needed, and if you are going to 100% blackout your window this stuff is the way to go. There is 0 bleeding through this material. I put a 700 lumens flashlight directly on the back of it, i saw no light, it was like the flashlight wasn't even on behind it. I tested the corners and got the same result. Every inch of this material will block all light from getting through. One side is black, the other side is white. The material is very soft, doesn't wrinkle, cuts very easy especially with a box cutter or razor. If you are planning to put it on a window like I did, and are planning to use Velcro I recommend stapling the velcro aswell as using the back adhesive. The adhesive of the velcro will stick to the back of this material but can be pulled off with some force, however after stapling it does not budge. You could also stitch or glue, or all 3. The material is actually really light for the size i cut for my window. The material is surprisingly thin for bring 100% blackout. I work overnight and sleep in the mornings and any light coming through my window was to much, this solved that. Would recommend.

This fabric does what it claims -- blocking daylight. The material is fairly lightweight for being able to block sunlight so well. It's really hard to find material like this. It's polyester material that is very smooth and almost satiny. I like the white side in my room using the black side to face the sunlight. They trimmed the edges so well that it essentially doesn't need to be sewn (except the top to loop curtain rod through). It came in the mail in a huge tube because they don't want to wrinkle the fabric, I guess. I use a big pin to clip the fabric when I'm not sleeping, so it does leave a little crease where it's clipped. But it glides beautifully across the rod with no issues.

It took a lot of searching without much luck finding a functional, light-blocking curtain rod. Not sure why so many curtain rods are so poorly designed. How many people have windows from floor to ceiling? And why are the panels so narrow (approx. 48-54 inches wide) and so long (84 '' long) that you would need several panels to cover a regular window? If the idea is to block light, having panel curtains mean gaps and light coming through. It wouldn't make sense to cut the curtain panels by over half. I've tried everything and nothing fits. Just nothing that is designed right. So, had to resort to buying this fabric to make my own curtains. So far, works great! Will probably wash in delicate cycle or handwash.

Thank you, Hanes!

My next door neighbor recently decided to install a floodlight conveniently located right outside my bedroom window. I have blinds that allow light in at the sides and stick out a couple inches from the window, so I didn't want to cover them with curtains. I purchased this fabric to install directly on the window and it was the best decision! The fabric is lightweight yet durable and it totally blocks out the light. I attached velcro strips to the window frame and the fabric so I can pull it off if necessary. This stuff was a great buy!

This is great, high quality fabric. Very impressed with how dark it made the RV. Says it is only a yard (36" x 54") but was actually more like 54.5" x 54.5".

I work odd hours so I need a dark room to sleep in, sometimes during the day. I use it to cover the edges of my drapes to stop ambient light from bouncing in. Works fine. Cuts easily with normal scissors.

Hung with velcro strips

Only thing is I wish this came in a 1' wide option as well. I had to order half the length needed, then cut it length wise.
