I need scent free products, and I've developed an allergy to chlorine so decided to give these pods a try. They do a good job of getting odors out of sweaty, smelly clothing, and a fair job of brightening whites and colors, but not as good at whitening as chlorine. Thus, the 4-star rating. Probably a LOT easier on the fabric than chlorine though.
One word of caution. Be sure to put them in the dispenser on your machine. The first time I used them, I put one in the tub with the clothes. It seemed to have left a yellowish-brown stain on a couple of items that happily washed out the next time around. True enough, that was my own fault for not reading the directions.
I have found these little nuggets to be the BEST cleaner for toilet bowls. I had some staining in one of my newer toilets due to the extremely low flush volume. I tried cleanser, CLR, toilet bowl cleaners, hand scrubbing.... yet the stain persisted though diminished. I had these for my laundry (which are great for brightening clothes without harsher chemicals) so I tried one in the toilet bowl. Voila! Stains are gone. This is now my go-to for bowl cleaning in my house. I like that they are an alternative to bleach and better for the environment. And they work! You can use them to soak whites for a while to brighten them even more. Great product.
I first found this in a local supermarket, then it disappeared. So, I purchased it from Amazon, and it works well. Doesn’t leave a heavy chemical smell in the clothes, which is important to me as I have allergies, as well as sensitivities to many odors. It does leave a light ‘clean’ smell, it’s not odorless, if that’s important to you. I think a second rinse would take out the remaining light scent, but then you’d use a heck of a lot more water. Doesn’t leave any residue on clothing, doesn’t change or lighten the color of colored items. It also works extremely well when I wash my makeup laden white washcloths, along my colored kitchen towels, on hot water (with this additive) and my odorless washing liquid. Does it’s job. I’m very happy with it it. I’d be happier if it was a bit less expensive.
It doesn't work like traditional bleach in that it is best used in warmer water for dissolving and activating. It also appears to be gentler on linens. We've been happy and would recommend the product as long as the user understands that it needs a little warm water to get started.
Works well! This does a great job on stains on both colors and whites. I'm pleasantly surprised. I want sure how well it would work, but it's gotten out coffee stains from the flour sack towels I use in my kitchen, blood and grass stains that were a few days old. No damage to my colors, so I am using this with pretty much all of my laundry. No smell at all. Only complaint is a couple of the pods had small breaks and some of the powder leaked into the bag. But, I bought 6 bags, and the breakage has only occurred in maybe 3 pods so far (out of probably close to 100 at this point). Seems to be helping with my husband's and son's stinky socks and sports gear!

These seem to work well and they didn't fall apart in transit like another brand I used to get. They completely dissolve and leave no odor.
I first found the bleach pods in the grocery store and I loved them. So convenient and no splash stains from pouring the bleach. This is a different brand than I typically use but I found it to be just as goid, if not better, than what I was using.
I have a small to medium load of white clothes weekly and do not want to use bleach on the regular. These pods were a pleasant surprise! They work quite well. I pop one pod into my front loading washer then add the clothes and detergent. They come out very white!
If I feel like my load is going to require a little more cleaning power than what my pod provides, I tossed one of these in and everything comes out a little cleaner. I would buy these again
I have used a lot of different stain removers and bleach alternatives and this one is not only eco-friendly but works well. My daughter is able to stain anything and then drop the clothes into some unknown hole where the stains sit and harden. If I soak the clothes first in a concentrated, dissolved pouch in a small sink these stains have (so far) washed out in the machine afterwards. I use another pod in the machine. I like the pods because they dissolve and are handy to carry on vacation and use.
