Reading the reviews, I guess it depends on what you're expecting. I use this camera to monitor my elderly father when I'm not home. For this it works perfectly well. It notifies me if it detects any motion (dad is out of bed and wandering) and allows me to check in when the nurse aid is in the house. I have a microSD in the slot just in case I ever need it but recording is not that big of a deal for me. I have no interest in connecting this to Alexa (nor do I care for Alexa). The night vision is great! It shows me clearly what is going on in the house. Overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.
Everything is good except for the resolution. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still good. Like all other 360 degree cameras, the resolution is among the 360 degree, therefore quality is not as good.
This needs to be connected to the outlet I can’t be just connected to the Ethernet cable
This is my second camera and we have absolutely no complaints. You can see real time, great audio and different options of screen. Love it
is work ok if your wifi in high speed

This is terrifically simple to set up, utilizing a unique sound-based method. I've never seen anything like it.
The picture is hellaciously clear and mounting options are plenty, and with the fish eye lens, it almost doesn't matter where you mount it, it's sure to get a wide view. One tip: don't mount too close to the ceiling because half your picture will be cut off by the ceiling itself.
The EZVIZ app connects from anywhere you have a network connection and can view live video (WITH TWO-WAY sound) as well as archived video which can be saved to the cloud or onboard memory card. The app can also be used to set up IFTT recipes. This thing is incredible and it's the best of this variety of cameras I've used so far.
One final push to bring it to five stars is how sturdy it is: I'd tried to mount it on a wall temporarily to see if I liked it, and I'd used extra heavy two-way tape. It stayed up for a while but ultimately fell about 5 feet to the wood floor. No problems whatsoever. Awesome!
EXCEPTIONALLY easy set up. Basically just download the app, plug it in, scan the sticker on the back to register it to your account and go.
Image is fantastic!
We have another camera from ADT, but this one is far, far better. App is easier, image is much clearer, more options, great fisheye sees the whole room and mostly, it works great even in low light! That's where the ADT camera fails the most...not only does it not have image options, it absolutely does a poor job in low light.
Easy to mount as well...just take the back (that you have to take off to scan the code), install it to the wall with screws and push the camera back on it.
The ability to get sound is a bonus. The two way sound is a bit flaky....doesn't always work properly, but it if you are willing to repeat a lot you can talk through it which is kinda cool!
Account if you want cloud storage is super easy to set up as well and it comes with a 30 day trial. Not too expensive afterwards...check current pricing. But you can also store on an SD card.
The only real downside of the camera is that it uses red and blue lights to indicate status and for lower light, plus the USB cord it comes with is white. On the whole this makes it fairly noticeable and as it's easy to pop off it's mounting, the biggest issue I could see is worrying about the camera itself being stolen (which isn't so great if you only use the SD card storage especially!)
But anyway, I have to give this 5 stars. Both in cost, quality, options, coverage of the room, low light, easy of use this just totally beats the camera from ADT...even if it unfortunately doesn't integrate with the rest of my security system.
Pros:
-Extreme wide angle camera, it covers a lot of space
-Night vision and sound capture are good and comparable to similarly priced cameras.
-Easy to setup on my network. Took less than a few min.
-Several different camera viewing options fisheye, panorama, etc.
- 7 day cloud recording costs $59 per year or $5.99 a month. I’ve seen less and more from other vendors.
- You can record to a micro SD card, not provide.
- Come with long 9.5 foot usb power cable.
Cons:
- Fisheye or wide angle lens may be good for capturing a large area but it also distorts the image.
- When zooming in with this camera the image is extremely washed out a pixalated. I may need to play around with it some more to figure out why. My connection is perfect and the setting was set at ultra HD. I see much better zoom in clarity with my Motorola (Hubble) and Canary cameras.
- I would prefer more cloud options. 1 day recording for $30 a year.
- Not a lot of mounting options. There is one flat bracket. I haven’t check their site to see if they make a swivel bracket.
Overall all a good option if you need an extremely wide angle camera, and I’m talking very extreme. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of zoom on clarity and they may be due to the extreme wide angle.
We've only had it up for a few days, but so far so good. No instructions so there was a little bit of time wasted figuring out install and set up, but once we got it installed it worked fine. It's a small fisheye display so it can be tough to see details, but works well enough for a quick peek into a room. I'm not sure that I would use it as a baby monitor (we had an old IP cam we had previously been using as a back up baby monitor) or anything like that since there isn't a ton of picture detail. Still, it's not very big which is nice. App works fine with Android devices. We were not able to get it to work with Kindle Fire devices which is a disappointment since most of our other cameras work fine on that tablet. Will update this review if anything changes!
The fisheye allows for a nice wide angle shot of my garage.
You need to have it within WIFI range to manage settings and view the images, though it still records to the micro sd card if the wifi goes out.
It doesn’t work very well with Apple products but was great with my Samsung phone and notepad.
It needs to be plugged in to a power supply, and the cord supplied is about 10 feet long.
It needs to record to a cloud which costs extra to save 7 days worth of recording after the free trial, or you can use a micro sd card up to 128gb which should record over a month. To view the videos you will need to do so through the app though if you encrypt the recording, which is the default setting and recommended if you’re recording in your home.
The camera infrared lenses will be readily visible in the dark.
