I really love this little countertop dishwasher! It arrived yesterday, and if I get good resolution from customer service regarding a minor problem, the review might go up to 5 stars.

As with it's predecessor, it arrives in an enormous box within a box. I unpacked it on my front porch. Because of my husband's back issues, I wrangled this pretty much on my own. Be careful.

I recommend finding the owner manual online and reading through that before your dw arrives. It has useful tips, like it's best to have 2 people moving and unpacking this thing. I also watched a helpful Edgestar installation Video online (it was for the DWP61, but they are similar enough). The most important point made in that video is about attaching the hoses in the back. Of course you need to connect them in the right places but it's even more important to be SUPER GENTLE while you screw those hoses on. The fixtures are plastic, and if you force anything, you will strip the threads and your machine will leak and you will be very unhappy. I'm pretty sure a lot of complaints about leaks in the predecessor for this machine are because people connected the hoses wrong, and damaged them in the process.

Measure your space carefully. The bottom footprint is slightly smaller than the overall dimensions, and it is supposed to be on a flat, level surface. This was a minor issue for us because of the location, but we have adjusted.

Speaking of damage, the handle of the cutlery basket arrived broken. This is an extremely fragile piece of the dishwasher and I am hoping it will be replaced. I can still use my dishwasher - and the handle is so flimsy i don't think I'd use it to pick up the basket when it is full even if the handle weren't broken. That said, if you are gentle with the basket it should work fine. I think the key for this dishwasher is to always be gentle with it. some parts are a bit cheap, but I bought this dishwasher for $269 - they have to save money somewhere!

The range of wash cycles is good. There's a great list of them in the owner manual, and they are easy to identify and select when using the machine. The amount of water listed in the specs does not (apparently) include the full cycle. Most loads take between 10 and 12 gallons of water per load. I like that there is a rinse only cycle, as well as a wash, but don't dry, cycle. That one takes only 45 minutes. Like most dishwashers, the dry cycle is not really complete, but that's typical.

The deciding factor for me choosing this particular machine: I can put in 10.5 inch diameter plates. YAY!

Overall, I'm very happy!

We received this dishwasher 2 days earlier then expected(thank god)

Setup was fairly simple, at least the dishwasher part. We ended up having to buy a whole new faucet because we had the pull down kind. The quick connect that the dishwasher came with is decent. The only downfall i would say is that the water is VERY pressurized, which obviously it needs to be in order to go through the hose. It just sucks when you go to rinse a spoon and forget and suddenly its like your sitting in the splash section at Sea World!

The dishwasher itself is actually very large, I would say about the size of a microwave, probably a bit larger. It can fit quite a lot inside of it, I've been able to fit all of my dishes and most of my pots and pans in it. Finally that brings me to the wash cycle part. For a tabletop dishwasher I did not realize how amazing this thing would clean my dishes. Im able to put a pan with stuck on spaghetti sauce in it and it comes out sparkling clean. I usually only use the heavy duty and normal cycles but there are also 5 other cycles (7 in total) that can be performed.

I am very very very happy with this purchase! Anyone that is thinking about getting a tabletop dishwasher I strongly recommend this one!

I use this dishwasher differently than most, and I think it is perfect. I use a power wheelchair. I had this dishwasher mounted at the height of my lap, and permanent;y plumbed into my water system. No screwing and unscrewing from the kitchen faucet. I pull the rack out to my lap and load and unload with ease. For this use, it has to be small, but I don't mind. I just run more loads when needed. Highly recommended as a disability independence tool.

The dishwasher itself works great. It does require the use of liquid spot remover for the dishes to look clean, but there is a compartment for that.

Decent looks in silver and wipes clean easy enough. Super simple controls. A small space between the bottom panel and the door, but that’s where all the action happens so I’m assuming it's an access panel. It’s the little engine that does. While it’s bigger than the microwave it’s far more useful. I must say at one point I was skeptical about getting even this smaller dishwasher, as my apartment is so small there’s nowhere else to put it but on the kitchen counter. Sacrificing the valuable real estate I'm looking to get a much smaller dish strainer as it's becoming more decorative than useful. Outside of being compact and saving water compared to my dish washing, it cleans like nothing I've ever seen. Things that would take me soaking and scrubbing are gone... and I don't know if I've ever been happier with a kitchen appliance... (ok my insta pot is AMAZING).

We bought one last month but the pump showed up broken. We returned and reordered and the new one works perfect...
HUGE CAPACITY and Very Easy Setup
We put a piece of plywood across our houses laundry room sink and tied it in there. The unit is VERY quiet except for when it’s draining which only lasts about 10 seconds anyways

It fits in a small NYC kitchen. It fits a lot of things, plates, mugs, two pots, small coffee pot, 4-5 bowls. It makes preparing food and cleaning up so easy!!! Everything comes out so clean!! I love, love, love this dishwasher. And the seller is great too. The dishwasher arrived wet inside. I contacted Amazon to see if I had received a refurbished one or a returned item through Amazon Warehouse. If that was the case, then I wanted to get a discount. However, I learned that they are tested by the manufacturers before packaging. So, I was ok with it. Amazon had contacted the seller about this, and the seller gave me a $15 discount on it. I was happily surprised. I wasn't expecting anything. So, I give the seller a big thumbs up.

NOTE: Don’t use the dishwashing detergent pods. Use the liquid one. I tried using the pods, and they would not burst open. The liquid Cascade does wonders.

This was a gift to our daughter. She had to change her faucet, the adapters didn’t fit. She took the adapter to Lowe’s and found the right faucet. We replaced her faucet and she was up and running. My daughter just loves her dishwasher. It runs on 110 has a regular plug . Also has a heating element. Which the others did not have, the one I did find that had a heating element run on 220. It also has a delay timer. Again our daughter loves it. We ordered it on prime and it was here in a couple of days. Yes I would recommend the edgestar portable counter top dishwasher. Order some cascade platinum action packs to go with it. You’ll be glad you did.

So far this little dishwasher has been a fantastic machine. It has cleaned everything without leaving a speck behind; up to this point we have only used the normal setting (2), so I can't speak for the other cleaning modes. It's very quiet except for when it sends used water into the sink. Our kids are grown and it's just the two of us, so we don't really need a full-size dishwasher any more, and the house we are renting doesn't have one. There isn't room for a full-size portable dishwasher, but we placed this appliance on our old microwave cart (it didn't it under the cabinet) and it's been a breeze! We only have to hand-wash our pots/pans now, and wood-handled cutlery. I highly recommend this if you don't like hand-washing all your dishes.

Works great and hold so many dishes. The only negative is it does take up a lot of counter space but I expected it too so it’s ok.

Would be 5 stars, but came slightly damaged. We live in a RV, so adding a dishwasher made it feel more like home. Works great! The aerator on the sink adaptor sucks though
