Countertop Ice Maker Machine Dispenser- 1.8 Liter Kitchen Ice & Water Machine, 2 Types Ice, Easy Touch Buttons, High Efficiency Express Ice Making in 9 Minutes

I waited 6 months to write this review, to give plenty of time to use and analyze this product. I checked out many counter top ice makers and saw negatives about all of them. This one seemed to meet more of my needs: makes ice quickly, looks nice, easy to add water and clean, also great dispenser. It has stood up to everything! I am so pleased with this purchase and so is the other people that use it. They easily use the ice dispenser and I keep my freezer full with backup ice by putting cupfuls in a plastic bin. One tip: get an ice chipper, since the ice does stick while becoming fully frozen in your freezer. Once chipped, it stays broken up. So it is easy to scoop up. I now have plenty of ice at all times. The ice makers has paid for itself since I have saved money by no longer needing to run to the store for ice. Money well spent.

Well, here I am writing a review about an ice cube tray. This would probably be a good time evaluate exactly what I'm doing with my life, but here goes....

This thing is pretty good. It's made of flexible Silicone, which is a bit of a departure from the hard plastic ice cube trays I'm used to. You kind of have to push out the cubes from the bottom rather than twist the tray back and forth to pop them loose like you're probably used to in traditional ice cube trays.

So far I've only used the ice cubes this thing produces for cocktails. You really only need one cube per glass, which is kind of neat and better than trying to fill up a cocktail glass with a bunch of tiny cubes and watering down your precious whiskey or whatever spirit/beverage you choose to imbibe. I suppose you could use it to freeze juice, soup stock, or just about any other liquid, too. Heck, it's your ice cube tray...go wild.

I got this for a great price, so it was worth trying out. Once it's filled nearly to the top with water, it can be a bit tricky to put in the high compartment of the freezer just like any ice tray, but worse because the silicone is not a rigid structure. And with me not being so tall, it was extra hard. For those who are height-challenged, I recommend using a step stool or putting the ice tray in one of the lower shelves in the freezer. Once all the ice are frozen, there's not issue taking the tray out of the freeze. At first, I wanted to free the ice cubes like a normal ice tray by bending the corners. That method does not work. Instead, you pretty much have to treat each ice piece individually and pop them out by pushing from the bottom. Of course, this can be tricky if you push too hard and the ice cube pops out and falls onto the ground and make your efforts go to waste. But then I quickly realized I could just put the whole tray in one of those 1-gallon freezer Ziploc bags and pop out the ice cubes like I'm trying to pop the zit on some giant's face. Worked like a charm. I then just zipped up the freezer bag and put it in the freezer, which has the added benefit of keeping the ice from smelling like the rest of your food stored in the freezer. Recommend getting this as I am currently enjoying the cool taste of scotch in my mouth while writing this review...

Larger than what i expected and access to fill door is in awkward place and small. Makes ice pretty quickly. When i did my first run of ice to flush the machine the cabinet leaked water all over my counter, however it has not leaked since. The ice once made does not stay frozen long in the storage compartment so if you don't use quickly you don't have ice.

I saw large cubes like these used in certain cocktails at a fancy restaurant. I decided I'd like to copy the look at home, and I gave this tray a shot. I've been very happy. This was my first encounter with a silicone ice tray, and I am a big believer. No more twisting hard plastic trays, and hoping the plastic doesn't snap or the cube doesn't get crushed. With these, just firmly push the cube from the bottom of the tray and it will pop out. Note, I've found using filtered water (from my Brita pitcher) results in clearer ice cubes.

First off, I am satisfied with this purchase. The ice cube tray makes good ice cubes (no film, no dust...none of the problems that some others have described).

BUT, they ARE NOT totally square cubes. The bottom of the ice cube tray slants on two edges (you can kind of see it in the product picture) so that every ice cube tapers at one end. Not a big problem, but if you are looking for a perfectly square cube (on all sides), look elsewhere.

For me, these work just fine. Just add scotch!

I'm new to the whole silicone ice cube tray movement (it's a movement, yes?) but this one from Chilled Creations is awesome. I was nervous about tearing or ruining the tray when I started using it. Even though you push the cube from the bottom, the silicone material is much more malleable than plastic and it just pushes right out. The cubes are huge! One cube in a drink is all you need - and they're right, it doesn't melt as fast, so drinks don't water down as easily as with regular cubes. I'd love to get more - if/when they're available!

So far so good! I have only used it once (it's now in the freezer again), but love it! If you don't have cold drinks already, or want your cold drinks extra cold, just add a cube! They don't melt as fast, diluting your drink, and they are fun because they are so big!
Also great to give to the dogs! It is super easy to remove the cubes from the tray, too.
For those artsy people, you can freeze different stuff in them, freeze baby food, peanut butter for dogs, or make ice pops.

For roughly $10-$15 these absolutely are worth their money, they let whiskey open up slowly, the chil perfectly.

Pro-tip: Use Bottled water
Super Pro-Tip: Boil the bottled water to reduce the air to get clear ice cubes (let cool before you put in the mold)

This tray does exactly what it purports to do,,,,,produce a large, well-shaped ice cube. Unlike some other products I've used, this silicone does not impart any odor or taste whatsoever to the ice. And, it does well in the top drawer of the dishwasher. The material the tray is made of seems to be pretty durable, as I've used it almost daily for over three weeks now without any apparent damage. The only downside is that, if you're plagued by "Arther" as I am, it can be a little difficult to remove the cubes. (Just be sure and count your fingers when you're through.) It's a good product, and I definitely recommend it. In fact, after re-reading this fine review, I think I'll order another one.
