First thing: this bad boy looks great and can almost go anywhere in the house and match whatever it's up against.

Second; after reading some reviews I was a little nervous as to if I could ever get this thing up to 70% humidity...but kinda figured most people weren't familiar with how much seasoning a humidor this big requires. It took a while but it IS doable. I seasoned this thing every day for a week and it holds at 70% pretty well. I also threw a few of those humidifier packs in each drawer to help. It took FOREVER for this thing to ever reach 66*, like literally 2 weeks. The humidity indicators they include are absolutely garbage and read about 4-5% lower than my digital one, which I would recommend buying if you pull the trigger on one of these. Wish more of the interior was ceder lined but I understand how that could be impractical.

The wine side is a breeze and works without issue or complaint. I have a mix of wine and beer I'm aging in mine and all the bottles fit fine.

So my only real negative comments:

Takes forever to reach 66* (and even then, if you're going to make the effort to build this machine, why not make it capable of going to 70*?)
Provided hygrometers are worthless
Only holds quoted cigar capacity if they're all robustos

I would recommend this a friend and even might consider buying another one some day.

I put a lot of time in, studying all kinds of humidors. I was skeptical on this one. I had read where people were having problems getting the humidity up to 70%. So, when I got it home, I put in two 72 humi packs, and seasoned the wood for 5 days. The humidity is perfect and stays at 71. This humidor holds all of my cigars comfortably. (around 100). I have everything from shorty to gordo cigars in it. My girlfriend loves the wine side. I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

I live in a very dry climate and it has been a continual challenge to keep conventional wood humidors at a proper and consistent humidity level. I have friends with large wood cabinet humidors with large active humidifiers and they have similar problems. I saw this unit several years ago and it has been on my wish list for awhile now.

I had this in my cart for awhile waiting for the price to drop back down and it finally did after the 2018 holiday season was over. It comes via motor freight and I had to coordinate with the freight company and my UPS store where I receive most of my mail and boxes. It arrived undamaged. It is a two person job to get this out of the box. It comes very well packaged with an inner and outer box and sitting in a heavy Styrofoam base. The unit has to be lifted up and out of the base to clear the adjustable feet.

Assembly consisted of removing all the tape fixing things in place and attaching the handles. I turned it on and started seasoning the humidor side shelves and boxes. Long term I intend to use the wine cooler side for a cheese cave. It took several days for the humidity to stabilize and in our dry climate is was still too low for cigars. I hauled off and added a Oasis humidifier and it took about two weeks to fully stabilize at 70% humidity so I could move cigars into it. I don't view this as abnormal or a reflection on the cooler, just be prepared to be patient while things stabilize, particularly in dry climates. I have temperature monitors in both sides and as a test, set the wine cooler side to minimum temperature and humidor side to 65F. So far both sides has held it to within +/-2 degrees which is acceptable.

Overall my initial impression is very favorable. It has allowed me to consolidate 3 smaller humidors into this one with a bit of room left over. It seems to hold temp very well and at least in terms of the humidor side so far seems to hold humidity very well. I am debating exactly what to do on the wine cooler side for aging cheese. I wish Whynter would offer just flat stainless shelving for this as an option. I know I could order additional humidor components but don't really want Spanish Cedar shelving for cheese.

I have recommended it to several friends and based on my experience so far would not hesitate to recommend it. My only observation is how rapidly I filled up the humidor side. If you have a significant investment in cigars you may want to order this and get the additional humidor kit for the other side as well.

I wanted a free-standing Cigar Humidor for 200 Plus cigars. I purchased the Whynter model with the bonus of additional space for both my good wine as well. I found the Center easy to use, effective for maintaining both wine and cigars, arrived quickly after order, very quiet operation. In fact, I never know it is operational expect for the digital temperature lights on each section.
Most important to me was the after-sales customer support provided by "Jackie A", which was timely and effective when needed one time. Today most companies with similar products offer at best online Chat and email if you're lucky, with minimal support. I was very pleased to find that Whynter has online information, email for service support, plus a "direct phone line" to customer service person that in my case "Jackie" who both answered the phone and capable of understanding with following up within same day! This makes this company Whynter stand out beyond the quality product sold as they are prepared and do stand behind the product. Cheers to support and good product. Jim U

Got it as a gift for myself. After 1 month love it works great . No problems. As for humidor just add another cup of fluid and works great ..

My husband and I purchased this chiller as a joint birthday gift. I like wine, he likes cigars. This chiller is really a fancy way to showcase both. It was very easy to put together and it looks fantastic. We have had the chiller for a month and it is functioning well. For our needs, it holds the perfect amount of wine. It is more expensive than other chillers, but other chillers are just not this cool.

Overall it's a great humidor/wine cooler! Has a nice look and finish. Patience is key, as reaching the proper humidification levels takes a couple of weeks (as part if the humidor seasoning, I used a combo of distilled water and Boveda humdifying packets). As mentioned by other reviewers, the hygrometers are worthless. I couldn't get an accurate reading on them and I was also unable to manually calibrate them, as they are cheaply made. Also, in order to pull out the wine or cedar trays, the doors need to be fully opened. Overall, I rate it a 5, but if I could rate it 4.5 star rating, I would....I didn't want to knock off a full star rating because of the hygrometers.

love this cooler
