These are delicious, convenient to pack for a snack, and are much healthier than other beef stick options. Yes they cost more but higher quality items do cost more. A package of roughly 24 1oz costs about 20 cents or so more than the greasy competition. To me that is worth it. There are lots of flavors but BBQ and Chipotle are my favorite.
I was hesitant to buy these based on some bad reviews, which made them sound super squishy in consistency. I found them to be medium consistency, not chewy at all but not squishy, nothing unpleasant texture-wise. Shared with a coworker who agreed they taste pretty solid, good flavor, not like the best jerky ever flavor but tasty and an enjoyable snack. For flavor alone I would say probably 4 stars. It's possible since the bad reviews have been posted that they've addressed any quality issues they used to have.
Where they really score is the nutritional side. Natural ingredients, high protein and very low sodium per snack compared to like *ANY* other jerky brand on the market. You will find very few snacks this healthy (if sodium is a concern) that are also this affordable and taste this good. At $20 for 24 sticks (got it thru Subscribe & Save) this is an awesome little protein snack to have during the day. Unless you're looking for chewy, salty jerky, these are probably exactly what you want.
These are good sized and have nice, fresh flavor. If you like them a little spicy, these are the ones for you. I was surprised that they had a good pepper/spiciness. On the other hand, if you're a Plain Jane, pick a different flavor. They are a little softer/moist than other brands I have tried, and there's no snap when you bite into it. Not a deal breaker for me. Would recommend to friends and buy again.
I order these pretty often. They are a lot less salty than the more commonly known brands and the bacon taste is right there. They are individually packaged so it is easy to slip them into a tote or purse for a quick protein boost on the go. And at this price, they are an absolute bargain compared to the highway robbery that is charged in my local markets!! Thanks so much, Amazon, for carrying these!!
Absolutely delicious, these turkey sticks are portable, filling, and the perfect amount of protein between meals to keep your energy level up. The flavour is balanced and mild without being boring, and there's a very pleasant sweetness to the smokey cure delivered by the ancho chili. I don't hike anywhere without at least a few of these meat snacks!

Found this product while searching for peanut and tree nut free facility snacks for my son for his school lunches. These came up on a search and after checking their website I decided to order the variety pack to try the flavors. My son and I both like the cracked pepper best then the BBQ and last the pepperoni one. They are actually REALLY good!!!! By far best tasting beef jerky like snack I've tasted. Will def continue to buy.
Prior to this experience, this has been one of my favorite snack items. The box arrived undamaged (no issues with shipping; however, upon opening the individual packages of sticks, I noticed that there was moisture collecting in thee bottom of each stick. I'd not seen this before. I opened the package, and the stick was slimy and extremely7 spicy. I contacted Amazon, who said that I must pursue this on my own by contacting Vermont Smoke and Cure myself. I was transferred twice during the phone call. I will email Vermont Smoke and Cure today to see what THEY are willing to do about the issue. It seems that Amazon could have been more helpful. Disappointing.
ADDENDUM--I was able to contact the manufacturer who responded very positively to my concerns mentioned above. I received a return telephone call within one day of leaving a message. He is an awesome representative for the product and based upon his positive response and follow-up, my review is now ***** This is a great source of protein that is portable and can easily be stored in a handbag or glove compartment. Like beef jerky, it needs no refrigeration. Thank you. It is also on the WW plan.
Not too high in sodium which isn't easy to find in a stick like this. Low carb and higher protein. My husband really likes these for a snack. Easy to transport for snacks and keep on hand for emergency use as well. We have purchased almost all of the flavor and liked them. My mother really likes the honey mustard because it has a little sweet to it and it isn't too spicy for her.
Updated 10/8/2016: Just recently received via the VINE program the Uncured Bacon to review. Same as above review plus it does taste like lean low sodium bacon, nice.

My kids both are dairy free so finding snacks they can have hasn't been easy. These fit their needs and taste great! I'm going to have to buy just BBQ next time, they gobbled those up quick!
