This velvet fabric is perfect. It's a really nice, dark navy color. It stretches like a spandex as well. You could use this for any type of dancewear or leggings. I made a cape out of this, and the drape was perfect.
I enjoy Cosplaying, and I was looking all over for an affordable fabric to drape over me as a cloak for a costume I'm working on. This is perfect! The other reviews are right: photos just don't do it justice. It's dark, richly colored, and isn't as heavy as I thought it would be. I even got a coupon with the fabric when it arrived the other day (it got here early, too: within 5 business days!). I would definitely recommend buying from this seller: very affordable fabric, cheaper than the fabric stores in town want!

This fabric is gorgeous and hangs beautifully. I had my aunt make me a cape for a charity event that I work with and it came out amazing. It has a nice weight and the color is gorgeous. It does have a little stretch to it which made it a little harder to work with but the finished product was perfect.
Nice medium weight velvet. Made a beautiful cape for my grown daughter for Xmas, with a white satin lining. Gorgeous.

Great quality for the price. It’s a dark blue - not quite midnight but not gray tinged like navy. It’s a beautiful rich dark blue. The fabric is a medium/heavy weight for a stretch velvet.
