The SPT UF-214W upright freezer fits our needs perfectly. Its foot print is small so it takes up a minimum of space. But it is just the right size on the inside to easily accommodate the overflow from our refridgerator/freezer. We are now able to stock up on more frozen goods at one time than before, thus cutting the number of visits to the store or online purchase site. More frozen food on hand, more choices for dinner. There is only one small complaint, but it did keep me from giving this freezer five stars. There should be an external light showing the machine is getting power. It runs so quietly I"m never sure if it is running or not. So, I keep opening the door from time-to-time to make sure it is keeping things cold. It always is and despite changes in the temperature around it on the outside, it is always holding steady at just below zero in the inside. It would be nice to have a light in the interior, but I'll give it a pass on that. We can live without it.
This little freezer is the perfect size for me and holds more than I expected. Now I can buy large packs of meat on sale and repackage in meal-size portions. I let it sit until the next day (in case it hadn't been shipped upright) and then plugged it in. Within 2 hours the temperature was -2F with the dial set in the middle of the range! Now that it is fairly full, the temp is between -10 and -15F. I intend to turn the control down slightly next time I pull it out to clean. I haven't noticed any frost buildup yet but I only open it about once a day. Two improvements could be made: removable baskets instead of shelves, and a more easily accessible control inside, rather than on the outside back.
This is a great little machine. It's got ample space for my overload of homecooked single serve meals. I can get about 25 Corningware containers in there. Love it! Has made my life so much easier!
it's been ~9 months since my sunpentown freezer was delivered. it was purchased to supplement the tiny freezer which is part of my upright refrigerator. what a joy the spt has been. its small, boxy shape fits easily next to its larger cousin. the door opens & closes smoothly. ice cubes freeze in approximately an hour. the only drawback is the dial for calibrating the freezer's coldness is located on the lower back. this became an issue as today was the 1st time i defrosted the spt. however, the manual gives explicit instructions. the freezer is relatively light & is moveable by one person. a plastic scraper was included with the sunpentown. from unplugging, to dialing off, to emptying the freezer & leaving the door open, the whole defrosting process took <20 minutes. although the dial’s placement is a slight design hiccup, overall, the sunpentown freezer is a user’s delight.
We purchased this little freezer to add to our pop up camper and it was awesome!!!! Freezes fast and the motor is very quiet. Plenty of room to take frozen food with us for a weeks trip. We should have invested in this sooner.

I use this in my camper, it originally came with a outside dorm sized fridge but we travel during the winter and needed more freezer storage. This fit perfectly in the space!
Very impressed- great size, super quiet (just a faint noise shutting on/off- no fan motor). Down below zero very quickly! (And I don't mind the little dent on the side.)
