SPT IM-600US Stainless Steel Under-Counter Ice Maker, 50-Pound

I bought this unit in February… And so now after five months of use I must confess this ice machine is awesome… pay no attention to the claims otherwise, however it does come with a plastic scoop which is useless… simply throw it away or use it for some other application and buy a stainless steel scoop because the ice does drop in sheets and you have to have something to smack the sheet to break it into 3/4" by 3/4" cubes. I simply open the bin, smack the sheets of ice with the scoop and they break apart easily... it's an awesome ice maker especially when you compare the costs of other units out there that do essentially the same thing… If you want to spend another $800.00 - $1400 more so that your cubes are all separated when they drop, by all means do so... If not , buy a $10 stainless steel scoop and you will be a satisfied customer...and considerably richer I might add.

07/10/17 just purchased. Instruction manual a little confusing . Clean button on back wash button on front, called manufacturer , they said no need to mess with back clean button unless you want to change ice size. Also, you must send the unit back to CA for warranty repairs. . You must pay shipping . If you paid for the square deal warranty, they only cover $50 of shipping for the first year , you pay balance. For the other years they cover all costs up to the coverage limit which is your purchase price. Manufacturer also suggested that you keep the shipping boxes for future returns.
07/17/17- Installation -no problems. Making plenty of ice. Wife is happy. Yes some of the cubes are stuck together as others have mentioned. They do bust apart easily. Some noise when it dumps the ice , especially in an empty bin. Otherwise ,operation is quiet. We'll see about reliability and warranty service over time.
10/2017 Still making lots of ice. no problems with machine
12/18 still making good ice. No problems to date. Just follow maintenance procedures.

A very good value for the money. I needed to add a water filter and a pump for the drain, adding approx $200 to cost but still less money than other cube systems with drains

It works very well, never runs out of ice. The ice is mostly clear, tastes very clean and has thin enough sides that is easy to crunch. It is awesome! My husband and family and I love it! It also looks nice with the stainless front and handle.

Product came as advertised. Also came damaged but was in rear of machine and as far as I can tell has no effect on its ice making capacity, also came 1 day later than promised, not bad at all. I recommend a licensed plumber for install and a filtration system installed which I did, so now making great tasting ice, others say ice comes out in blocks, true, but most break cubes when falling, I bought a metal scoop breaks through nicely!!!

I've had this ice maker for about 2 years now and had no problems with it. makes ice fairly fast and is pretty quiet. Once I got used to it I don't even notice it running anymore. With the coils on the floor it is something that requires cleaning often as it collects dust.

Had this product installed in our home bar now for 6 months. Great ice maker that really cranks out the ice, we never run out even with large parties of 20 people. Usually operates very quietly, except when dumping a batch of made ice which can be very loud. Would not install near a bedroom or other area that is noise-sensitive.

So far superior to our previous under counter. It was rated as a 30 lb in 24 hrs. This one makes five times the amount at its rating of 50 lb. completely impressed thanks

need to cut cabinet for cords so the specs could have been a little more detailed.

Had it for 6 months and all is working fine. i only wish it would have come with a stainless steel scoop instead of the flimsy plastic one.
