My son has Autism and can't talk so I use this to make him pecs communication cards and it works like a charm. I love how I can cut the cards out after laminating them and not have to worry about them falling apart.
I love these Scotch Thermal pouches. I've been using them for years mainly for crafts that I either sell or make as gifts. I use both the 3mm and 5mm and they are both great. I've tried store brand laminating sheets before when I've been in a bind and really needed pouches and nothing can really compare to the quality of these thermal pouches. I really like these larger size pouches and didn't realize until very recently that they also come in legal paper size and now I definitely want to try those as well. If you purchase these for use with your laminating machine you won't be sorry!
One of the best qualities that I like about these pouches when compared to other cheaper brand or store brand pouches is that the things I put inside the pouch to laminate (for example, handmade tags) don't shift when I go to put the pouch into the machine. I've had others where you fit everything (I'm usually laminating a bunch of small little pieces of paper) in the pouch and you go to lift it up to put in the machine and things start falling out or shifting and landing on top of each other. That is a real pain because it wastes time and it's just frustrating - that doesn't happen with these Scotch pouches. They almost have a sort of cling to them which I really, really like.
If you are a paper crafter, you definitely need to try these pouches for your laminating machine!
Absolutly perfect for my laminating machine, item arrived on time and in great condition. Very simple just slide the paper in between and insert into heated machine and it will come out without any wrinkles or bubbles. I love laminating pages for presentation purposes and it always makes it easier to pass around in a meeting. Also great for hole punching and putting in presentation binders too! These were a great value and although I thought about buying thicker these were perfect, not flimsy at all. I will buy again when I am out, and remember you can get in all sizes. This is an awesome product I can't live without!!
Well I don't know what to say...I liked my laminator, used it for 40 plus pages and the only thing was it had a tendency to pull to the left and had a couple pages somewhat bent at the end...Nothing that couldn't be reshaped...However I haven't had it but a month or so and got a recall on it and was told to cut the cord off and throw it away and send in the receipt for a refund...So this is the reason for the five stars, not the seller's fault it is the manufacturer's fault...The recall came out after I had the laminator...Shipping was great, thank you...Will have to pick up another one.
Got these because I ran out of my original pack of 50. So this latest buy was a second purchase for me and this time I got the bigger pack.
When you first look at these, they look a bit opaque, but come out crystal clear from the laminator. The paper inside is water resistant. This is a must for a mother of preschoolers and in particular for a homeschooler. I've laminated a number of things. Including "power disks" to play Wild Kratts for my kids that I laminated two years ago and they are still around getting played with. I made custom labels for our luggage and tied them to suitcases with yarn: they survived 9 airplanes as checked luggage.
Currently I am making sight word packets. They really make going through the sight word drill easier, and the laminated paper feels like very sturdy playing cards. I'm sure that these will last until my daughter needs sight word drills.
You can also use a dry erase marker on these and wipe clean. Super convenient.
These pouches open all the way to allow you to place the paper inside. I've never had any issues with air bubbles or wrinkles. This is an excellent product.

I purchased the Scotch Thermal Laminating Pouches, 8.9 x 11.4-Inches, 3 mil thick, 200-Pack for use with my Scotch thermal laminator, and they have worked great. I am a teacher and I often have the need to laminate different activities for the students to use. Having these sheets handy are great, and they allow me to create things which can be saved for years to come.
Using the sheets is a very easy process, and the sheets are also of great quality. I have laminated regular paper as well as cardstock in these sheets, and have never had an issue. Both always come out looking amazing. The sheets are crystal clear and very shiny. They melt perfectly and rather quickly. Aligning the sheets is easy and effortless. It is very easy to place the papers inside the sheets and I have not experienced and wrinkles or bubbles.
Bottom line is this is a great product that I use weekly. I am constantly reordering this product and thankful to always have them on hand for quick use. I highly recommend this product and would not give it anything other than five stars.
I laminated almost 100 pages over the course of two weeks, and had no problems whatsoever. The smell is kind of obnoxious as it heats up - but that is just plastic at high heat. I love that I could use thicker paper or two pages glued back to back if I used the 5m setting. This thing is small, convenient, and awesome. After initial use, I've used it several times on and off again, and it's still great! Buy the 200 pack of sheets - totally worth it!
I laminate 8-1/2" x 11" pages for things likely to get dirty and needed for repetitive but infrequent uses. Examples include instructions for dog boarding, reference angles for crown molding miters, instructions for draining the hot water heater, and so on. These pouches do this very well. The key is to wait long enough for the laminator to fully pre-heat. Lastly, this box contains two packages of 100 each for a total of 200 pouches. It was the most cost effective package I could find for this size pouch.
I bought this on a recommendation from another teacher. I love it and have laminated every thing I could this summer! I gave it a 4 star because it will tend to pull to the left so I have to make sure I carefully place the paper. It has crinkled only one thing out of approximately 140 things laminated. It was definitely a good buy for my needs!
I ordered these on Prime Day. Such a good deal that day on these! I recently received the laminator for free from Chatterbox my HouseParty. I've already put it to use, setting up my classroom for the coming school year. I don't plan to laminate a ton of items, so 200 sheets seems like overkill, BUT they were such a good price AND my mom has this laminator as well so she said she'd split the box and the cost with me. When I got this in the mail, I dreaded counting out 100 sheets for her, but to my surprise, the box has two 100 packets inside! No counting for me! I left her 100 in the box and transferred my 100 to an empty sheet protector box. Perfect!
