For those of you relying on battery power for your Ring doorbell, this is a must! These batteries take all day to fully charge (7 hours or so), so having a charged spare on hand will get your Ring doorbell up and running again quickly. A USB charge cable comes with this battery.
Bought an extra battery works great just like the one that came with the ring doorbell 2. Extra battery on hand is the best way to go after I wasted time and money with the so called solar chargers advertised for the ring doorbell 2 they are 100% worthless speaking from experience.
Works great with Ring 2 as a back-up to my primary battery. My doorbell is not hardwired and this battery lasts about 3 months before needing to be charged.
Well If you depend on your doorbell Ring like I have in the last 3 years having two power supplies is way better than just having one.
This works for the doorbell as well as for the cameras. It’s definitely necessary for the cameras because without a second battery in the compartment you will have to recharge it more frequently than you would expect

I normally wouldn't review a battery but I would have appreciated the info (though I still would have bought it). Apparently these type of batteries will not function under a certain temperature and so we were without our Ring camera for a few days. In all fairness it got down to -16 but I'd think for things that are made to be outdoors research could create something tolerant. The camera started showing pixels at about 10*F and then it lost all communication under 8*F. I did the research and found that these type of batteries will neither charge from an external source (ie solar panel) or power the camera at colder temps. I'm still happy with it, this is more of an FYI.
Each of the batteries has lasted about 20 days before they hit 50% and that's with the camera being tripped about 20 times a day (wildlife!) and a few live views out of curiosity. I have not tried my solar panel yet so I can't speak to how well that whole charging system works. The usb charging takes quite a while but again the charge really lasted.
Bought this battery for my Ring 2 doorbell. I live in a fairly sketch neighborhood and have to worry about mail and package theft. I am so happy I won’t have to have my doorbell dead while the original battery charges anymore. I can simply swap them out and charge them as needed and never lose more than a minute of monitoring and protection.
