APPLY IN A HUMID ENVIRONMENT (like in a semi-steamy bathroom or outside on a humid day) to avoid attracting dust particles to the sticky side of the protector when you remove the tabbed plastic sheets. Pulling away the plastic protector sheets must create static that attracts such particles. I installed two of these this week. The first one was in a dry environment and as soon as I pulled off tab 1, dust particles seemed to jump out of nowhere to the sticky side of the protector. When I would push it on my tablet, the stuck particles created little bubbles of air around them. I had to pull up the protector from the screen to remove the particles with my fingernail to avoid the bubbles during application. Not a great result, but doable. The second one I applied, I did on a humid day (with our air off & windows open), and there was no static effect to draw in the dust in the air to the sticky side of the protector to hamper my application process. That time, things went much more smoothly! No bubbles!

2-pack - First one went on perfectly, with difficulty, but following the directions. Installed, it is completely transparent. The other installation, on a different Kindle, failed. Dirt came from somewhere and got trapped. Once that happened, it was impossible to clean and reapply the screen protector to be transparent. Ordered a second 2-pack of screen protectors. Cleaned the Kindle screen with alcohol swab and the (included) cleaning cloth. Same problem, dirt from somewhere got trapped right in the middle of the screen. Started over with the fourth screen protector. Cleaned the Kindle screen with alcohol swab, but without the microfiber cloth. One speck of dirt found its way into the installation this time. Since it was far in the corner of the screen, I left it there. That speck is visible in the corner, but most of the screen protector is transparent. If you want a screen protector, you have to install one, no matter how difficult it is.

Decent screen protector if installed correctly.

* Be sure to clean the screen thoroughly; seriously, leave no dust or fur behind!
* Take your time to size-up and position the protector. Make sure you know where you want to place it BEFORE starting quickly; be sure the small hole lines up for the camera. If someone can lend a hand at this point it's helpful.
* Start at one edge (I started at the top) and slowly peel and press your way down, smoothing as you go for the first tab. Before you get all the way down, start peeling the second tab under.
* Then work down the top, smoothing as you go. It's pretty easy to remove the bubbles if you just slow down and take it slow.
* Remove the top film and you are ready to go!

This is a good protector -- no issues with sensitivity, and does a great job of protecting the screen from minor scratches. I love that I have a back-up, too!

I'm a little OCD. So lining up the screen protector was a pain on one of my two devices. I had it a little off center and I missed a pet hair or two on the first one. Learning from my mistake, I cleaned the second one like hell and was extra careful and deliberate in lining it up. That one went on just fine and I was able to get all the bubbles pushed out with the included squeegee bar. I then went back to the first device. I screwed that one up about three or four more times. I even had to clean the sticky side of the film, which I thought would probably just ruin it. Amazingly enough, I was able to re-apply it and it stayed on. So points for this screen protector film as that you can really jack it up and abuse the hell out of the sticky side and it will still re-apply. If you do it right the first time, you won't have to worry about it, but if you do mess up you don't have to trash it and get a new one. I was impressed by that.

NuPro Fire Screen Protector Kit (2-Pack) (5th Generation - 2015 release), Clear It's a good thing they send two, because if you're anything like me, the first one is for practice and learning how to NOT do it. The second one went one much better, but it didn't stick to the very bottom of the tablet; it's not a problem now, but it looks like it will peel at some point. It seems to be a good product, but I'm not sure a small sheet of plastic film is worth that much, especially when you only end up with half the package.NuPro Fire Screen Protector Kit (2-Pack) (5th Generation - 2015 release), Clear

Description

This is my 2nd screen protector on a device. The other was for a cell phone which due to the smaller size was easier to apply. My Daughter suggested (unfortunately AFTER I had wrestled with this one) that you put these screen protectors on in the bathroom or other room without as much flow-through ventilation or still air. This will limit the amazing amount of pet hair or other things that we seldom see floating around us that manage to stick to the sticky side & WILL show on & under your new screen protector. Also, being larger than a cell protector it is more difficult to get perfectly straight on the device. But after the installation, it is a VERY good screen protector and hasn't been a disappointment. You get good directions and a secont sheet for use later. It definitely works as it should. I will - and have - recommended this to others.

This protector (clear) was very easy to install by following the direction that come with the package. You just need to have a little patience and slowly put it on there as to get the best result. I applied it perfectly with only one time bubble in a corner but the little thing they include in there to smooth out the protector got it out within 3 seconds of running it over the screen. I recommend clear as it is beautiful and doesn't negatively effect the quality of the screen resolution and how you see it. I took it off just to see how easy it was to come off and reapply and it was perfect putting it back on, although I wouldn't recommend doing this multiple times as it may cause creases from lifting it too much. It looks as if nothing is there and fingerprints aren't driving me crazy.

I bought the Fire tablet and wanted a screen protector for it so after reading reviews I settled on this one. I'm pretty happy with it and have no complaints. I read some reviews where people had issues putting it on but I honestly had no issues putting it on. Take a deep breath, take your time and use the little stiff paddle that comes with it and it goes on pretty easy and with no bubbles. It went on easy and with a microfiber cloth I have I wipe it clean every now and again. I recently purchased a stylus so smudges are no longer a problem. A good price for the 2 pack.

I received this as part of the bundle that I purchased. I actually didn't realize that it was a two pack so I'm glad I have a back up if anything should happen. I am not hard on my Kindle so the screen protector works just fine for me. I'm not sure of the abuse it could take, but I'm not going to attempt to try that out. It's not antiglare so it's hard to see outside, but it does allow for a bright crystal clear picture. The application process was very simple and I love how you are able to remove only parts of the backing at first so you don't have this large adhesive surface exposed and potentially collecting dust.

I received mine yesterday and installed it without any issues. I had actually thought about cancelling my order because of the cost of the screen protector. I saw glass protectors that were cheaper and I only use glass protectors on my cell phone. I am glad that I didn't cancel the order. The system that they use to put on the protector is different from other ones. The top part of the protector attaches first and then the second half. However, it worked. I have never put on a non glass screen protector that has not bubbles. I have no bubbles!
