This product is amazing. I have limited space in my 2000 Jeep wrangler and has always been an issue for my phone cradle, this one is great it has freed up my air vents (my old unit had to be installed in the vents) and the stability is like no other. I can take my jeep out on the town or off road and the mount and my phone no longer fly off. My iPhone is now easier to mount and dismount and the range of motion this unit offers is perfect for driver or passenger use
I like to listen to podcasts during my commute and when one ends trying to start another without driving off the road is an issue. The height of the CD player is perfect, my phone is relatively high but just below the top of the dash so my view out the windshield is unobstructed.
My wife liked mine so much that I bought a 2nd for her minivan. Very secure, you don't have to worry about it coming loose like you do with some of the suction cup solutions. Once you latch it into the CD slot it isn't going anywhere.
I have a fairly large phone, with a case, and the gripping jaws still have a little room to spare when fully expanded. I doubt there's many phones that this wouldn't be able to hold, even when inside a case.
Fits great in style on the Mercedes C300, 2017, walnut finish. I had concerns that it may look ugly, but no!
It sits low above the cup holder, so tall drinks are tricky to get in and out when my phone is on the stand. This, however, would be a concern with any other phone holder that attaches to the CD slot. Other than that, the stand is stable, and I didn't have to use the additional attachment for stability. I am thrilled with it, since I don't want anything on my windshield or on top of the dashboard, it just doesn't work there. Also, I had a stand on top of my dashboard, and I had to reach to be able to manipulate the phone (and I have long arms :) ) I don't use the CD slot and that whole area of my console, so this is a great solution.
This phone holder works better and easier than anything that I've used before. It took a little getting used to lol, what I mean is, when I first starting using this easy one touch mount, it felt like it was taking the phone from me and securing it. Now that I'm used to this feeling, I like it, because it's actually very easy to use. I push the phone into the mount and it closes onto the phone and holds it very well. This product is by far the easiest car phone holder that I've ever used. It's a favorite and I enjoy and look forward to putting the phone into the mount right when I get into the car. It's the first thing I do. Highly recommend!
Searching for the perfect holder for your device can be a huge process and a difficult task. Search no longer! This phone holder is the best I’ve ever had. Depending on your car’s interior layout, there may be no convenient spot to place your phone, no matter which mount you purchase. I’ve tried magnetic, suction, sticky and vent mounts. ALL have failed me in one way or another.
Sticky mounts lose their stickiness, especially if you have a big phone like mine, and also in the summer time where temperatures soar and the sticky bond weakens. Suction mounts either lose their suction or if your enterior layout is like mine, there’s just no place to suction your holder where you can even see the screen without inching forward or looking away from the road, (in case you’re using gps or trying to answer/disconnect a phone call). Finally, vent holders sacrifice any heat or AC that you want blown in your direction. You’ll most likely have to use a vent that’s just out of reach, or just close the vent flap altogether because your device will either accumulate moisture around it when the AC is on, or it will overheat when you have the heat on that’s blowing directly on to your phone.
This holder, however, is perfect. It firmly secures into the cd slot, and is a perfect distance where you can safely see the screen And reach the phone if needed. You can place and remove your device using only one hand. As soon as you place the phone on the holder, the back of your phone pushes against a platform that springs the plastic arms with rubber grips against your phone to hold it firmly. To release your phone, just press the levers just below, inward with one hand and the arms open back up and stay open. You can also rotate the holder to have your phone face any way you’d like or horizontally. I also have a center display screen in my vehicle, and although the phone will most likely be in the way of that, you’ll still be able to see enough information on the screen to station surf, or you can just turn it horizontally and see everything on the screen.
I’m currently using the iPhone XS Max and my phone case is slightly bulkier than normal, but it still holds my phone just fine...just be cautious and make sure the grips are holding your phone securely during initial use. I’m using the blackweb phone case which is just about as bulky as an otter box, in case you were wondering

This is such a great phone holder that my wife took it and now having to order another one.
We both like how simple it is to hold and remove the phone.
The only things that I would change would be adding a short goose neck to pull it out from your radio/CD player and the little tab they give you to fit different CD slots, it needs to snap onto the holder so you always know where it is, just in case you use it with multiple vehicles.
The by far surpassed what I expected for the money. It fits perfectly in my Cadillac 2011 SRX, I was concerned that the button on the dash above the cd player would cause interference, but alas it does not. That little fin in the middle pops up a bit to secure it in the cd holder, which works REALLY well. Super secure, easy to use with one hand and minimal wobble even on bumpy interstates while speeding somewhat excessively.
I highly recommend this product.
The plastic quality is sufficient. It fits into our Toyota Sienna CD slot fine and is secure. Small gripe - from the driver's seat, our phones block the spot were the clock display is. Any CD slot phone holder will block some part of the stereo display.
The "claws" are wide enough to hold an iPhone 8 and and LG V20 (both phones are in cases) and the claws are deep enough that it can still hold our phones with a popsocket on the back.
I've had all kinds of phone holders. My most recent version was a magnetic mount that mounted in turn on the air vents. I liked that mount but (1) air from the vents was blocked in part and (2) the magnet to mount on the phone will mess up inductive charging on my new iPhone.
I set this holder up in 2 minutes yesterday and am very happy. It securely clips into the CD slot. It sticks out a bit which is great as you can turn the phone display to you and nothing is blocked except for the CD slot.

Fits very solidly into the car's CD slot and, unlike our older iOttie mounts, is capable of holding a phone vertically without it sliding out. A nice side benefit of this mount (depending on your car) is that your phone doesn't overheat in the sun on the dash and often will get a bit of air flow from the vents. The only thing I don't love about this mount is that it is supposed to be able to lock open until you press your phone into it. I find it is so sensitive to springing shut that putting the phone back up really involves two hands. Perhaps I have a dud. Minor issue anyway though.
