My husband (and engineer) went to lowe's and talked with some plumbing specialists there. So we got ours set up to the plumbing under the sink. This is great because I don't need to move it (it's heavy) or hook anything up to run it. Ours gives us an error message every once in a while ( usually because there's dog hair stuck in the front compartment) and once a year we need to clean out the dryer pieces in the back. We have a Newfoundand dog, so this machine deals with A LOT of dog hair. We've owned and used ours regularly for a year and a half. I found that it works best with SMALL LOADS (3/4 full). You can't cram it full and expect it to work. We live in a small basement apartment and honestly, having a washer/dryer CHANGED OUR LIVES. The only negative is that it makes your clothes a little more wrinkly than a regular vented dryer and that when you clean out the small front compartment (trap thing) ... a lot of water comes out. I had to get a oil catch that mechanics use.. but because it's so close to the ground, My husband needs to lift it up slightly to put the catch underneath before I can clean out that compartment.
Love this combo in my 5th wheel, do wish it was and inch thiner to fit better but thats minor. Washes and drys great, does take awhile but thats how these combos work. Tip for everyone buying the edge star, take the top cover off and snip tje zip tie holding the cold water hose and move it so its not kinked, makes a huge difference in drying. Idk why they dont fix thst in factory. My parents hsve the lg model and paid 800 more and this edge star performs just as well if not better.
Same exact unit as the Dometic . You’ll save $200.00 buying this one.
Update: I’m very impressed with this machine. I never thought you could dry clothes with steam but it works. Nice addition to my Fulltime RV life.

I'm giving this 4 stars for now because I've only had it 24 hrs. In that time, I have washed 3 loads of laundry -set of queen sheets, queen mattress cover, and 2 small area rugs. I've used the sheet setting and the normal setting with added dry time.
The unit is about as quiet as a noisy dishwasher, so it's not bad at all. The items do come out wrinkled, but so far, everything has been completely dry. I did use the tip from another review I read that suggested you pull out the detergent drawer when it goes into dry mode, so that may help.
So far, I really like this machine. It was easy to setup. It fits perfectly into a small area in my kitchen and I love that it does not require a 240 outlet.

It's ventless so you can't expect it to wash or dry as well as traditional vented units but it gets the job done! The dryer cycle is kinda long but if you dry it overnight, it doesn't even matter. It's the perfect size for NYC apartments and it's really quiet. I'm glad I bought this!
