I like that this dishwasher has a sanitize feature. It's very quiet. The dry cycle has never melted my Tupperware or plastic glasses like others have. I had this same brand of dishwasher at my old house for five years, and the only problem we had was a few prongs on the racks broke off, probably our fault for putting knives on the rack. There's not enough room to put tall utensils in the utensil tray.
This one works much better than the old GE dishwasher that was in this house when we bought it. There's an "active" light and a "clean" light only, nothing in between. That's one thing I don't like, the controls are hidden, and there's no cycle indicator so you don't know whether you've caught it in time to add more dishes. I wouldn't advise opening it while it's running anyway, it will squirt you in the face. Having the buttons inside does give it a sleek look though.
I love the stainless steel interior on these, they don't stain. It takes a long time to run, but maybe that's why it works better. There are lots if cycle choices, some are faster than others. It was lacking installation instructions. Another reviewer said it needed a plug-in wire, but my husband installed it with the old dishwasher's wiring just fine. The specifications didn't say anything one way or the other. I decided on this brand and model because Consumer Reports rated it highly.
We are now washing skillets that we formerly washed by hand.. It's SUPER quiet!
This has been a great machine for me. Have had ZERO problems. And it does a very good job cleaning. Also VERY quiet! You won't know it's running.
