I bought this for my Fire Phone since it was made by Amazon and I figured what better place to get a case for my phone than from the phone maker. The experience thus far has been pleasant.
I would like to review this case for what it is - a case for a phone.
Fit.
The case fits well on the phone. It slim fitting and doesn't make the phone feel bulky at all. All of the ports and buttons have their cutouts and are readily accessible. The case covers the left side, right side and the back of the phone. It leaves maybe 1-2 millimetres of material buffer spacing on the top and bottom sides of the phone. The entire face of the phone is expose and I don't mind this so much since it's a touch screen phone and I prefer to have all of my screen real estate available to me. There's much less buffer material available in comparison to the top and bottom. The case is almost flush with the surface of the screen.
Feel.
The case has a nice feel to it in my opinion. The sides are smooth and the back is textured. There's also a neatly placed Amazon logo on the back of the case. The best thing about the material is that it allows the phone to come out of the pocket easily. My previous case experience was with an Otterbox silicone case for a Blackberry 9850. It would always prove a tad bit difficult to get it out of the pocket without pulling the pockets out.
Look.
The case looks great on the phone. The combination is quite attractive and I've received a few compliments on the look of it.
Quality.
The quality of the case feels good. It's lightweight but feels sturdy enough to keep the phone protected through normal wear and tear. It doesn't feel flimsy at all. I don't think there's much else I am able to say about the quality for right now.
Price.
I don't mind paying the price since I prefer to protect the investment of the phone from day one although I'd have preferred if the case was $10 instead. It would be more value for money to me at that price.
Conclusion.
All in all, it's not a bad case. I have yet to drop the phone in the few months of owning it but I'll update my review to mention how the case fared in a drop in the event that it does fall. I think I should also note that I have a screen protector on my screen.
I really like these cases. They offer enough protection for short drops (a few inches) and protect the exterior from scratches. They are extremely light and slim so they do not add bulk to the phone. I love the citron color, I also have it for my kindle HD 7, but it could easily get dirty. I have two of these cases, one blue and, of course, one citron. The blue does not show dirt as much so I use that case if I know I might be getting it even slightly dirty.
Overall I highly recommend these cases for thei vivid colors, sleek design, and fit. If you aren't a careful person and plan on dropping this phone from a few feet off the ground you might want something else.
If you decide to buy this item then you will have made an excellent decision. The value for money was good and it helps to really protect the back and side of the phone from damage. It can help pay for itself very very quickly.
It doesn't add a lot of weight or bulk/size to the phone in the pocket or in the hand which is crucial. Some other units may protect better but this is an all round great item.
The only piece I think could have been improved, would have been including a screen protector as even a relatively cheap or basic one would have definitely helped.
It feels great in the hand, sort of cozy, a bit gritty. Fits well. I like it.
We are a Cargo Cult. We play the same game and fill the time with rituals from the past, but we know the great army will never return so that we may flourish once more. I have a Fire Phone, released about June 2014, and a Fire HDX, 7" tablet, from way back in 2013. There are stutters and stops which software upgrades will fix. I wait in vain for the time of the upgrade.
The case works well, though. Of course, a device unused needs no protection ...
Perfect fit and has a nice slightly textured feel to it. Unlike some smooth cases, fingerprints are not an issue on this case. The color has a slight purple tint to it. The color is subdued enough to not look tacky but different enough to not get lost on a table with all of the other black phones. The face lip could be slightly higher to protect the screen and the top and bottom are exposed.
Pros: won't be covered in fingerprints, slim design, nice feel
Cons: minimal drop protection

This is a very high quality case that fits perfectly. I'm very picky about quality and care lots, and I would notice any problems, but this case has none. It is stiff and yet feels smooth and soft, so it won't scratch the phone. Feels nice to hold and looks great. For people who complain about insufficient protection -- did you look at the photos before purchasing? You can accurately tell from the images exactly how protective the case is. If you need more protection, get something else. This is perfect for me.
The case fits easily and all of the pieces and ports are lined up just where they are supposed to be. I have full access to all of the features of the phone and every button on it. The case feels good in the hand and is easy to grip. It provides reasonable protection for your phone. I would choose something different if I frequented a construction site.
I chose the citron color because I have some old original Amazon swag (cups, tote bage, etc...) and they are all in bright shades. With the logo on the back, it appears to me to be exactly what it is: a new Amazon toy.
Fits the Fire phone as expected. The hole for the camera and flash is a perfect fit and allows the light to get through without reflecting back into the lens. I mention this because my other holder for this phone does obstruct the flash a bit.
The only drawback for this case is it offers no protection for the front of the phone. This isn't a failing of the case, it simply is not designed to do that--which is why I switched to a wallet-style case. I really wanted to use this case, though--it feels nice, fits great.
Nice colour (fairly cool red, a bit pink) and it fits really well. Buttons are easy to access. It is easy to put on the phone but difficult to take off to access things like the SIM card. The top and bottom are not covered so there should be no issues with charger fitting. Packaging is great, no struggles. Overall, it is nice and I'm glad it came bundled with the phone but I wouldn't ever pay $15-20 for it separately.
This case isn't meant for protecting against falls on concrete, but it has done a very nice job of protecting my phone from some pretty hard bumps and a few falls on a semi-hard surface. I'm pretty careful with my phone, so I wasn't looking for "Otterbox" type protection. This one does a nice job. It slips on and off very easily, but stays put unless you are trying to take it off. And the purple color is very pretty.
