So, I have been using this for 1 1/2 weeks. So far everything is great. This is a self-contained ice maker that produces bullet shaped ice cubes. The ice cubes get moved into a little basket. When full, the basket contains enough ice for three solo cups. They cubes are great because there is a lot of surface area and my drinks get cold right away. The cubes last for about 1 1/2 drinks, be it water, juice, or soda. If you do not use the ice, it will slowly melt into the water reservoir below the ice basket. It will constantly make ice. There is a medium sounding hum . . like a fan on medium. But it only happens when it is making ice.
Update at 1 1/2 months: Everything is going great and I really like this machine!
So I really like this portable ice maker! After reading the instructions, the process started. Had to leaving it sitting in the correct position for 2 hours for the refrigerant to settle, but I got to making ice in a jiffy. Add water to the reservoir and hit the on button, that simple! I did have a couple problems with the first batch of ice. I thought I had made sure that the stopper on the bottom of the machine, to let out excess water when not being used, was pushed all the way in but it was not. Water got everywhere!! But that was user error, it did not happening again after that. The other problem I had was a piece of ice kept getting stuck causing the machine to think the ice bin was full, but that was an simple fix. All in all, fantastic little machine! Perfect if you need ice at an outdoor event. The little bullets of ice are the perfect size for water bottles too! Great product along with all the other things I have purchased through Vremi.
Makes nice sized ice cubes fast and looks great!
Only option I could wish for would be a pause button so it could keep cooling but not making ice.
I should note that it is pretty well insulated and a full tray of ice left in it will last for many hours even with the machine not cooling anymore.
Where can I start with this! Well as of a few days ago I had no idea that these portable countertop ice makers have even existed! This unit has truely been a godsend. Living in an RV, our freezer didn’t have an ice maker and constantly filling trays and waiting a day for them to freeze was I st plain getting old. But then I found this guy! Shortly after it arrived I put it to work, within ten minutes it already had a batch of ice done. Wow! And now it’s producing ice so quickly that I can’t keep up with it myself! IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW:

The instructions were straight to the point and easy to read. Once the first set of ice was dropped the machine stopped for about 10 minutes and didn't produce anything but I went to the instructions again and reset the issue and it has been working fine ever since. I followed the instructions and waited a little over 2 hours before using the machine so the refrigerant could settle. The only thing I would say that could make this perfect is having a holder for the ice scoop. Whenever I got ice out I was kinda just holding it trying to figure out where to set it down. This is great for parties or family get togethers. Made a total of about 6 of the 32 oz. Yeti cups worth of ice from two 1 liter bottles of water. Was not too bulky or space consuming.
I love my Vremi ice maker! The ice maker in my fridge hasn’t worked properly for years so when I saw this I thought it could be the answer to my problem. The first thing I appreciated about it was the packaging. While it was packaged securely to prevent damage, it was also easy to unpack. No broken nails or GooGone to get sticky tape and labels off! It has a relatively small footprint which might make you think it won’t produce much ice. Not so! Within 45 minutes it had produced enough ice to fill the ice bin in my fridge. The cubes are on the smaller side which I like. Easily fit through the mouth of my water bottle and look pretty in a glass with a beverage. I have a few other Vremi products that I love as well. They seem to have found a formula for combining style and function to produce quality merchandise. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with next😊
In an RV freezer space is a premium. I was hesitant to purchase an ice maker because of the counter space, but I am so glad I purchased this. It is an amazing product. No more ice trays, remembering to purchase ice and then trying to chip away the ice frozen in the fridge to put it into the glass. I had the OXO ice trays, but even those were irritating to deal with. This item is perfect. Keeps the basket full of ice. It doesn't take long to refill. It dumps about every 7 to 10 minutes.
I live in an apartment so the fridge is basic with no ice maker. I did ice trays. You know how much of a pain they are. Theres always 2 or 3 cubes that will not come out. So I tried buying bags of ice. They come in 7 lbs bags and take up most of the freezer and often you get bowling ball sized chunks that melted and refroze together. All I want is cold drinks and ice to crunch. Enter this little gizmo. I had no idea there were such a thing as stand alone ice makers. It churns and whirs and spits out little tubes of ice and does it pretty fast. The ice is not really super hard, in fact when you crunch it it is almost slushy. I'm an admitted ice cruncher so my teeth (I've broken one crunching on ice) are probably happy and so am I. Ice is always ready and I have my freezer back. Hopefully it will last but for now it's staying on my kitchen counter whirring and churning out ice on demand.
UPDATE: After several months it's still clunking out ice like a champ. This was a really good purchase.
