I am so glad this product exists. I am not interested in flashy, cheap, flavor of the year washers and dryers from Samsung, LG, and the like. This is a tank that does what it is made to do. That is all I can ask for.
Huge capacity in both compartments, very efficient with soap and water, HOT dryer that does a fantastic job, and simple controls that do everything you need. 5 year warranty says it is meant to last. I expect at least 10 from the build quality. Maybe 20.
Notice: Remember to remove the shipping brace before using. It is under the washer area. You have to remove the panel. If you don't take it out, the washer has no shock absorption and will cause huge vibrations.
This is a heavy duty, no frills washer/dryer combo that fits into the space of just one machine. As long as the Speed Queen name and reputation still mean something - this unit should be working 25 years from now and it will be well worth the price.
Had to have GE mechanic come out to fix the washer door, kept stopping on rice cycle
I purchased this ATG50 Laundry Center December 2012. I had a stacked Maytag Laundry Center. There was shakes, unwound water, ect.It also was under warrenty for 8 years. Then the washer broke down. My insurance company says it cost too much to repair it. So I ordered a new Speed Queed ATG50 stacked washer/dryer. Soon it arrived in my condo. My plummer put the water lines plus the dryer vent hose. Then a LEVEL positioned was correct. We started to use these machines. My washer is excellent and it is very strong. My dryer is very big. The clothes dried super fast. It is very quiet to use. I give it a 5 STAR rating. This is the "BEST" home laundry center available today. Buy it. You will never regret it.
