I tend to shy away from spicy foods, but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to try a new condiment to liven up snacks and recipes with. I was afraid the spice would be overpowering, but it’s actually quite mellow and smooth; just the right touch of heat. So far, I’ve enjoyed this on fruit salad (banana/strawberry/blueberry) with cottage cheese and drizzled on the original Chick-fil-A sandwich....so delicious!

I am originally from India and love honey as well as anything spicy! When I saw this product, I knew I had to try it out! Mike's hot honey does the trick! Its good quality honey infused with the right amount of heat in a way not too over powering! Its great on toast as well as straight into your mouth! :)

I bought this because I saw Mikey Chen use it on pizza in his YouTube channel called Strictly Dumpling. I didn't know if would be too hot for me. I'm by no means a wuss but I'm also not a masochist. This is right where it needs to be for me.

So far I've only tried it on a couple of things. I used it on some pork chops and put some in my chai tea. It was perfect on my pork chops. In my tea it was pretty good, but I think next time I'll use 1/2 Mike's and 1/2 regular honey because it was just a tad bit overpowering for that. Maybe if I put some milk or cream in my tea I could use straight Mike's and it wouldn't be so bad.

I already know that I like honey on my pizza, and of course I love red pepper flakes. I don't even need to test that to give it a 5 star rating. I like that they put a baggie around it so that if for some reason it did spill it wouldn't destroy whatever else was in the bag with it. I happened to have an external sound card in the same shipment and it makes me happy that it was never in jeopardy.

This is now a staple for my kitchen. How I cooked without it before, I'll never know. Makes the best vinaigrette ever, quick pan sauces for pork, unexpected zip in dozens of dishes. Does it come in gallons? Have given it as hostess gifts several times and everyone gets hooked.

It's just the right amount of heat to make it interesting, but not so hot that it'll interfere with other flavors. One of my peeves about spicy versions of normally non-spicy items is that it's often all about the heat but the flavors imparted by the chiles aren't particularly noticeable or interesting. This honey has a great chile FLAVOR to it, in addition to the heat, but it doesn't overwhelm the flavor of the honey at all. I like it on buttered toast and on fried chicken equally well, and this has definitely become a staple "sauce" for me!

Description

Established in brooklyn, ny in 2010, mike's hot honey is a chili pepper-infused honey and, quite possibly, the world's most versatile condiment. Our sweet and spicy hot honey is a delicious pairing with a wide variety of foods including pizza, chicken, ribs, biscuits, salads, fruits, cheeses and even ice cream. Also useful in cocktails and marinades, mike's hot honey is a dynamic condiment made with the heat-lover in mind. Mike's hot honey is made with wildflower honey harvested from apiaries in new york and new jersey. We are proud to support local beekeepers and their hives.

I was very curious and expecting a little heat, (I mean it's honey) but this stuff sure had a deep, consistent flavor with a full bodied heat thru out. I was pleasantly surprised. This would alter any recipe calling for honey in a very interesting way. Or add to a cup of tea for a kick.

Saw this on a Food Network show and decided to try! LOVE IT! Great honey taste with just a bite of heat at the end. My husband loves "hot" and even grows his own peppers to eat on anything. He really likes this on his French toast and I like it with peanut butter. However, I just made baked beans and added tablespoon of Mike's Hot in addition to the brown sugar (reduced amount) and they were the BEST baked beans ever! I going to tell Mr Bush and Duke about Mike's Hot Honey!

Saw this somewhere I can’t recall now but how it was amazing & the reviews got me. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it tastes just like you’d think it does. Hot honey. I felt the spice came after it was in my mouth for a few & it tastes good, seems well made & came with no issues. With all that said I’m not sure I’d buy again. This is my personal preference. I’ve tried it on a few different things including salad which I did not care for. The only thing is that I’ve NOT tried it on biscuits which I think might be pretty good. I think this would go great in recipes that call for honey & heat but to eat it alone just isn’t for me.

I've already reordered and given a bottle to two different friends who like to cook. Everytime I walk by the bottle, which is on my counter (I may have to put it away!), I can't help putting a little on my finger and tasting it... First sensation is just sweet honey, but then a little heat kicks in, and it's a great combination. I'll bet it would be killer on chicken and waffles!

Got this on Friday after reading about something similar on the Gozney website. I immediately put together a white fig, gorgonzola pizza with roasted garlic and some local EVOO from Suisun Valley. When the pizza came out of the oven, I hit it with fresh basil and a long drizzle of this honey. IN. CRED. I. BLE.
I can see placing this on many things..roasted cauliflower, polenta....whatever needs a little sweet kick. I highly recommend this, and will be ordering more for the Solstice season as gifts for my fellow cooking family and friends.
