I bought this as an extra freezer for when the house one gets full. It is a great size for two people - I would say it would be good for up to four people then you would probably have to go to a larger size. Runs so quietly. It is easy to adjust the temp as the controller is right on the front. It is easy to reach the bottom of the freezer too.
Freezer, gets cold, stays cold. Not terribly heavy, very easy to scoot a bit in my over crowded kitchen. I like that the surface is smooth and not textured, it will be easier to clean (three kids and sticky hand prints all over everything!)
This chest cools quickly and seems to maintain a consistent temperature. It could use another rack for organization, but otherwise a seemingly well built freezer for the garage or basement. I would give 5 stars but for the fact that the freezer came damaged on the corners and bottom; I had to put a shim under a corner to level it out so it didn't rattle. Having visited a few brick-and-mortar stores, I noticed this is not uncommon; apparently it is difficult to handle these with care.
My cute freezer is sitting pretty in my pantry and working perfectly well 😊 It had a tiny dent on the left top but so small it's almost invisible, I'm guessing it's from transport or delivery and didn't wanna put the seller through any stress of returning it cos it's not worth the stress. I have no complains as its been functioning fine for a week now
I've only had this a few months and so far I love it. It will hold A LOT of food! So far, there is very little, if any, frost inside. I don't have it in an ideal location, but that's my fault. I searched around and this is a really great deal for a freezer this size. I did also purchase the additional 3 year warranty, which wasn't much $$$. So far, so good!!

This freezer is just what I was looking for. The size is perfect since I am the only one at my residence. The outside is nice and smooth and easy to keep clean. It is so quiet that I had to lay my ear on it to make sure it is running. I feel anyone who would buy this model would be very pleased with the results.
Works great! Holds a lot. Arrived faster than I thought it would. I noticed a spike in my electrical consumption on the day I plugged it in, but now it's down to nearly nothing. I am very pleased.
We picked up the Haier 5.0 c.u. ft chest freezer about a month ago, and it has been pretty awesome to use. It gets nice and cold just as you’d expect. The 5.0 cu is more than enough for our family of three when combined with our normal refrigerator. We were able to store half a pig, a large turkey, a couple whole chickens, and we have plenty of room left. We actually have several gallon jugs of water in there too and we could still fit another half pig or more in it.
It is fairly light weight. I was able to get it up our porch stairs by myself with a dolly. It is also small enough that it can fit in some pretty tight spaces. We have it in a small mechanical room attached to the garage and we had plenty of room for it. It gets a good seal, and it runs quiet. We added some gallon jugs of water (90% full) to it in order to help keep it from working too hard. I’ve always heard full freezers work best. I did have to use an extension cord, so I used a 12 guage cord and so far haven’t noticed any issues with the cord getting hot.
The only problem I’ve had is that there were some dents in the side from shipping. They weren’t an issue for me so I accepted it and went on. I plan to add a wireless thermometer with an alert though since it isn't in a common area where we'd notice failure quickly. Just in case.
All as promised and works great! Love the smaller size. Perfect for a small home. Delivery packaging could be improved near the bottom only as the tools used for moving it created a dent at the bottom - same I think as noted in other reviews so I was half expecting that. Nothing that interferes with the function of the machine, though.
Got a 280 pound hog. Had to remove the basket, otherwise it all fit. The temp. dial is set mid-way and its ice cold.
