(Updated 4/16/18)
Good disherwasher, overall, but needed a new control board replacement after only about 13 months (stopped draining properly with water pooling at the bottom).
Pros:
- Pretty quick cycle time (manual states 105-119 mins on Auto Wash, which is the wash cycle option we use).
- Quiet, although not completely silent.
- Cleans well.
- Stainless steel design looks good.
- Buttons fully hidden from view under countertop.
- 1 year limited warranty for appliance, parts and labor.
- 5 year limited warranty for racks and some electronic parts (microprocessor and printed circuit board), parts only.
- Bosch customer service was very helpful when repairs were needed.
Cons:
- Annoying repeating beeps once cycle is finished. (However, you can change the volume of the beeps or turn them off completely by following the instructions in the manual, which is what we did.)
- Top rack (but not bottom rack) can be very squeaky. (4/16/18 update: top rack has gotten squeakier and is now extremely squeaky.)
- Installation not included. (I'd recommend contacting Bosch during installation to find a service company where your warranty will be recognized, in case of any problems.)
- One of the assembly parts was missing during our installation. However, we contacted Bosch and they sent us the missing part right away, free of charge.
Tip: If you have any problems with your dishwasher, I'd recommend contacting Bosch before getting the dishwasher serviced to make sure the service company is actually recognized by Bosch so that your warranty will be recognized. They may not honor your warranty if you get it serviced by a company they do not recognize. They can also find and connect you with one of these local service companies that they recognize for you, if you're not familiar with one yourself.
So far it's wonderful, I installed it myself and comparing it to the unit I removed the quality of this unit is far superior as is the performance -- but then again so was the price tag.
Beautiful and quiet
Typical German engineering, love how it's made, works well, although if you want the dishes dry you have to use the "sanitize" mode.
Within 12 hours of having this dishwasher installed, I almost ripped it out of my kitchen. The end of cycle beeping overshadowed everything else about the product and the lack of help from the manual (no mention), the Bosch help line (no help), and Bosch email (no response) only made things worse. After hours of hunting online, I found this thread - https://www.amazon.com/ask/answer/Mx135R9CCNTDSXC/ref=ask_aa_al_sa_hza - which led to the following solution...
To enter the options mode:
Door must be open. Press the "ON/OFF" button to turn the unit on.
One of the Wash Cycle LEDs will be flashing.
Press and hold down the ">" button, then press and release the "START/RESET" button. Now release the ">" button.
The "Clean" and one other LED will be flashing.
You are now in the options setup mode.
Press ">" until the "Clean" , "Sanitized" , and "Rinse Agent" LEDs
are flashing.
Press the "<" button to change the cycle completion tone level.
The wash cycle LEDs will illuminate when you press "<".
0 LEDs flashing --> Cycle Completion Signal is OFF
1 LED flashing --> Low tone level
2 LEDs flashing --> Medium tone level
3 LEDs flashing --> Highest tone level
Press START to save your settings.

I would of liked if there was a light that stayed on to show that the machine is functioning
other reviews were critical of drying, but we are not having problems. This seems to be a good affordable and quiet diswasher. I did not give it 5 stars because we have not had it long enough to know about reliability.
Easy to install and very quiet. I like the range of wash selections. The only thing that I find a bit frustrating is the assumption I will be using a rinse aid and the light that indicates I didn't add it.
SO QUIET AND CLEANS GREAT
Make sure you get model number SHX3AR75UC or similar that has fold down tines on both the top and bottom racks. We’ve only had the Bosch for about two weeks, but the ability to convert the racks makes this machine perfect. Some reviewers have noted that the bottom rack was designed by a mad scientist; that the tines are too close together and go every which direction. Yes, some of them are closer together than your mother’s dishwasher, but not all and that’s good, especially when you use a lot of smaller plates and the two directional pattern allows more flexibility. Fold down tines on the bottom are a must because I don’t think dishwasher racks were ever laid out for skillets, because, well you wash them by hand, right? Not since Teflon stopped flaking off! So, you can lay a 10” – 12” skillet down in the bottom and still have room for plenty of plates.
The moderately priced Bosch models are Consumer Reports check rated for 2014 and don’t get sucked in to trading up. A few features that don’t make sense:
Adjustable top rack – mine doesn’t have it and it fits tall glasses and pitchers on the bottom.
Third rack for silverware – if you have household help or want to teach neatness to the kids get this option; otherwise who has the time to lay each piece in an individual slot.
Light shines on the floor when wash is done – this is a flaw with a lot of machines with hidden controls. There should be a small LED on the front indicating end of cycle.
Water softener – if you really have that problem, get a whole house unit.
Stainless steel bottom – not necessary and I don’t notice the bottom any how.
One gripe; programming was designed by the aforementioned mad scientist and the manual for the SHX3AR75UC and others according to web blogs is mis-stated. The procedure for programming calls for noticing 0, 1, 2 or 3 blinking lights - pick one to select your desired option, and it doesn’t state what lights will blink. It’s the wash cycle lights and they remain steady, not blinking, so one solid light is option one, etc.
