I love my Amour hooks. I've now got the entire regular set of ten hooks (B through J including the 7) and all of the available sizes of the "fat" hooks, pictured here (7.0, K, L, M/N and N/P). As I have joint and muscle issues in my hands, I cannot stress how much these hooks help me. I can crochet for hours, faster and more efficiently than with any other hooks I've tried (and I've tried quite a few).
When I first saw the larger sizes for bulky yarns, and that the hooks are (gasp!) plastic, I was hesitant. However, I sent for the largest size to try on a bulky lap throw project, and ... wow. The plastic is not just "plastic"; it's a high-impact, hard, slick, almost space-aged material that just slides through the yarn. It is every bit as smooth and high-quality as the aluminum-tipped hooks I am used to. The handles, too, are the warm, easy-to grip quality that I love from Amour. I was so impressed that I have since ordered the rest of the available sizes to round out the set.
Don't let the "plastic" in other reviews deter you from trying these hooks. You will find that they really are your trusted Clover Amours in every way. You won't be disappointed.
Love this hook it is my favorite everyday hook, the only hooks I like better are the Furls, but they are too expensive to have each size. The Clover Amour hooks I will have in each size, so comfortable and no hand fatigue.
I used my hook for a dragon tail blanket project so that was 8hr a day crocheting for about a week. No blisters, and no gnarled fingers :)
I have recommended these hooks to anyone who will listen to me, I talk a lot about crochet, yarn and hook. My circle of friends are a bunch of artsy, crocheting biddies.
If you are going to crochet invest the extra money and get a good quality hook. I came back to crochet after a 10 yr hiatus, and I left cause my hands would cramp and my finger would blister where the hook rubbed. It was because I was using the cheap all metal hooks, if I had know about the Clover hooks or the cushioned grip hooks then I would have never left.
I have been crocheting for many years.....lots of stitches and lots of ripping out. I have used just about every brand. When I started using the Amour hooks, I immediately fell in love. They are so easy to handle and the yarn effortlessly slides over the hook itself.
I have arthritis in both hands, but now bad enough to make me stop crocheting. With these hooks, I don't feel as much discomfort in my hands and I tend to crochet for hours at a time.
I have the entire set now and my search for a good hook is over.
This hook glides! It lets you work fast. The handle is comfortable. The shaft is nice and long. There are no seams in the plastic.
I've always used Tulip Etimo metal hooks and not sure how I'd like this plastic hook. But I had to crochet up super chunky yarn for a throw and needed a large size. I will buy this hook in other sizes.
Only thing is that I accidentally ordered 3 by mistake (as I was adding things to cart) I tried to cancel 2 of them within seconds and Amazon said it was too late. And I wasn't able to return the other 2. This was a bit annoying!!!!! So I give the pouch a 5 and this VENDOR a ZERO!!!!!!! Buy the hook from a different vendor.
This is the only large hook brand I can tolerate with my carpal tunnel. Quite slippery unlike most plastic hooks, fairly comfortable handle with some slight padding, fairly ergonomic shaping, good head shape, and not heavy. I threw out several large hooks before settling on this brand.

I absolutely love this hook. It is much more comfortable than a metal hook and has the best grip strength. I was able to crochet using 2 strands of yarn that is shaped like flat shoestrings and it did the job quite well. Would definitely recommend.
I have crocheted for over twenty years. What I like about this needle, is that the yarn doesn't "snag" or have "drag" like some of the other hooks do. The yarn smoothly passes over the hook when you crochet. The handle is a bonus, as my hands are becoming a bit arthritic, this helps me to crochet longer, as there is less fatigue. I highly recommend this hook.
I really like this crochet hook. Easy to hold, non-slip, great to use with bulky yarn. The Clover Armour hook is my new favorite! Yarn doesn't snag and slides easily. Would highly recommend this for anyone who loves to crochet!
Used this with t-shirt yarn to make a round bolster. The results were stunning. I too wish the hook and shaft were metal like my other Clover hooks but this one works so I give five stars anyway.
Yes, this hook is made of plastic, but it works like a dream!!! I zipped through my bulky yarn project with this hook in my hand as if it were a magic wand. I will never buy hooks from another company ever again. Clover makes amazing crochet hooks that glide through the yarn and allow for quick crocheting.
